The staff were amazing, the hotel is fantastic, my room was clean, comfortable and perfect for staying with my dog and what set this apart (for me) was I was able to eat a proper meal in the bar and my dog could come in with me. I will definitely be staying here again, 5 star! "

"Very nice hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Aranda de Douro is a nice little town with a pedestrianised centre full of shops bars and restaurants. Place was buzzing when I stayed, and the hotel is right next to the pedestrian bit so you don't have to go looking for it. Suggest you ask about parking if you're going to stay. Only down side was the roadworks, but they're not going to last forever"

"The hotel is an old castle high up above the valley - how fantastic is that? Wonderful character with plenty to wander around and explore. We would have enjoyed the views from the rooftop terrace had the weather been a bit warmer but we enjoyed looking around the hotel and relaxing with a drink in the main central room. There was no bar as such but drinks were available from reception and we had a great meal in the restaurant. Good service throughout our stay."
