"Wir sind vom 06.bis 10. Mai 2024 in dieser Unterkunft gewesen. David und seine Frau sind sehr hilfsbereit gewesen und sehr freundlich ( wir hatten ein kleines Problem mit unserem Auto und David hat uns sofort zu einer Garage gefahren wo das Problem schnell behoben wurde). "This lovely apartment, is beautifully situated in the main square (Plaza Mayor) in Caceres. "Clean, comfortable, and convenient. with emphasis on the convenient, This property is right on the plaza with multiple restaurants just steps from the front door. Sights (church, castle, and museums) are within easy walking distance. Host responded quickly and was very informative regarding the property and the local area (very good English also). "Loved the location although it is a bit of a challenge to get to the apartment from the 12 Euro a night parking garage. Description states that there is on site parking? If you have health issues I would not recommend staying at this location as you will have to haul your luggage from the parking garage, across the street, down at least two stories of stairs to a crowded narrow street, down a couple of more blocks to the apartment. "Lovely apartment and location once we found it! The parking advertised is actually a public car park costing £12 euros overnight (which we were not aware of) the directions to apartment are very misleading and we struggled to find it. But once we did it was lovely and bright and great location."

"Listen, I am not a hater. I never leave negative reviews. It’s just that this place SUCKS. The furniture was awful when it was new, in the 70’s. The mattress sits on pallets. If Hotels.com has ANY minimum standard of quality for properties, this should certainly be below them. But hey, there’s air conditioning, and if your only goal is to stumble in (preferably drunk) and sleep, for as cheap as possible, you’ll happily get what you paid for. "

"A beautiful hotel in an historic building just a short distance above the Plaza Mayor and away from the hubbub of that area. The staff were particularly pleasant and helpful. Delightful, quirky, and welcoming

"This is a delightful, quirky, welcoming place! The tea shop below is wonderful, the hosts were kind and helpful. My only issue was being on the 4th floor as I had a hard time with climbing the stairs, but that was a ME problem, not a THEM problem! The decor is wonderful!"

Delightful old hotel

"We have stayed at Don Carlos on several occasions. Staff are pleasant and helpful. It is clean and comfortable furnished in vintage Spanish style set in an unusual old building. Ideally located for exploring the old town. Car parking is good Cannot fault this lovely little hotel. Excellent value. "

"Stopped for one night en route to the Algarve. Very modern and clean hotel at a reasonable price. Our room (on 5th floor) was superb. Much appreciated the underground parking. Reception staff friendly and very helpful. Breakfast excellent with wide choice and good value. Although out of town, easy to drive in to Caceres for an evening out. Only negative was lack of evening dining facilities. One expensive restaurant that doesn’t open until 8.30pm or bar snacks. But otherwise, extremely good."
