Delightful cottage suit small family

St Matthias Lodge is a unique cottage style property in the heart of Wellswood village.
The property has off road parking and consists of a master bedroom with kingsize bed, wardrobe, drawer storage and wash basin. The second bedroom is ideal for a child or granny and has a single bed, small chest of drawers and clothes hanging space. There is a kitchen/lounge area with breakfast bar, oven, hob, microwave, fridge, Nespresso coffee machine and dishwasher. The lounge is tastefully decorated and has a wood burner for our guests use. A selection of books, dvds and board games are provided, There is freeview TV. And free wifi is available for our guests.
The luxury bathroom has a toilet, basin with shaver point, walk-in rainfall shower and full size bath. The property is fitted with carbon monoxide alarm and smoke detection. There is gas central heating throughout. We are able to provide a high chair and travel cot.
All bed linen, tea towels and bath and beach towels are provided (please do not take our bath towels to the beach).We have decorated and furnished this property to a high standard and hope that you like it.

We are constantly making improvements to the property, so far we have widened the driveway and added a lovely new decking area with a motorised sun protection awning;

Please take care when driving in or out of the property - we recommend that you reverse into the driveway
The property is no smoking throughout and we do not accept dogs of any type (sorry but it was a hard decision we had to make)

Lovely cottage in a very good location
We had a great stay in this cottage. Very well equipped, convenient location. Walking distance to harbour but also close to a bus stop. Small selection of amenities within few minutes walk on a local high street. Parking space definitely a bonus. Would stay in the cottage again if coming to the area in future.

Lovely cottage with a spacious main bedroom and modern bathroom. Great location too in what seems to be quite an quiet and upmarket neighbourhood with its own mini high street and great places to eat, especially Mr and Mrs Jones deli!

Anniversary break
This cottage is one of the best equipped holiday homes we have stayed in. It was a comfortable home from home. The cottage is close to local shops and restaurants, as well the bus stop for the short ride to the harbour and shopping area. We would highly recommend this cottage for anyone visiting the Torquay area.

St Mathias Lodge is just perfect - cosy, so well equipped and in a great location to explore the Devon Riviera. There is so much to see and do within easy reach. Bus services are excellent. There’s a good selection of local shops just around the corner.

St Mathias Lodge
We found the lodge to be everything we had hoped for. Clean, high quality beds, bedding & towels and well equipped for all we needed. Plenty of eating places within a short easy walk. Perfect location for walks to nearby coves and beaches along lovely country lanes. We would highly recommend a stay at the lodge.

Great for bus stop to Torquay or Dawlish, shops round the corner. Feels like home, lots of stuff in the house, books, maps & plenty of kitchen items. Only negative was the light coming into the main bedroom at night...but then thats me!

Nice neigbourhood, shops and urban restaurants closeby, not touristic, close to waterfront with nice small beach (no sand), caves that are worth to visit nearby. Accomodation clean, well equiped, towels present, kitchen with coffee, salt, oil etc present. We (couple with daughter) enjoyed our stay very much at this accomodation and location.

Absolutely stunning luxury cottage
The photos do not do this cottage justice, it's absolutely stunning with all the trimmings luxurious from the bedding, beds, towels and kitchen. Had an amazing stay and it was just lovely sitting on the decking having a glass of wine in the sun late afternoon/evening. It was an easy walk in to Torquay centre about 15mins and not a difficult walk back. Smaller coves also within walking distance which were gorgeous. Really can't recommend this cottage highly enough and we are already planning on returning soon

This is our second stay in this excellent, comfortable property. The owners have gone to a lot of trouble furnishing the cottage to the highest of standards.... every comfort has been thought of and levels of cleanliness are high. It doesn't matter what type of weather is going on outside, the cottage is still lovely and warm. We will definitely be back.
