"Excellent breakfast, very nice old house view."

"We stayed one night. The room was small but the bed comfortable although it was against the wall so not so convenient to get out of. We had dinner in the restaurant as we had received a discount for food. The menu was a bit limited but ok. B'fast was good even if did not have a massive choice. The staff was friendly and the location is walking distance to the harbour and centre of town plus there are a few parking spaces. "

"The house is just a regular villa without any extra soundproofing so when other guests stumbled in at one o'clock superdrunk everyone hears it. The guests then locked themselves in both bathrooms and started violently puking for everyone to hear. One other guest were sleeping off the whiskey in the living room couch. In the morning we opened a window and it turns out the street outside has surprisingly heavy traffic. We mailed the owner the morning after about the puking drunks and he asked "but what did they say when you confronted them?" Well, my mama didn't raise a dimwit so I'm not about to confront any drunk unknown people in the middle of the night. We could of course have called the owner in the night, but I'm not sure how that could have helped. The house was clean and neat, but it was a far way from sights or town centers."

"Hotel Carlia provided us a comfortable stay for our one night in Uddevalla. The bed was comfortable and the blackout curtains conveniently shielded us from any of the light during midsummer. The room was clean, though a bit outdated in the bathroom. Plenty of space throughout. It would have been nice to have more climate control as it felt rather hot and humid in the room. The window could be opened, which helped a bit. It was unfortunate that their gym and sauna facilities were being renovated as we would have enjoyed use of them. Although the area around the property has a lot to offer in terms of restaurants and small town shopping, the street immediately in front of the hotel is under construction and closed off, which made getting to the property tricky. The breakfast buffet was good, though it would have been nice to have items more clearly labeled for those with dietary restrictions/allergies. A member of our party is vegan and had some difficulty figuring out their options. When we asked the food service worker, she did not know the difference between vegetarian and vegan, so they recommended options that had milk and eggs. Other than these items, our one-night stay was comfortable. "
