Whether you're looking for an escape from the city, visiting family or just passing through, this modern cabin is the perfect retreat. With the lake just across the street, bonfire with everything you need to make s'mores, watch the stars on the back deck, stream your favorite Netflix shows, bring your fur-babies and keep them safe in the fenced yard, relax on our luxury mattresses and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning in the screened in porch. New Year’s Retreat
This little house by Lake Shawnee was a great launching off point for seeing family in the area, touring museums, and most of all resting from the Holidays. Walking the dog along the lake really helped me decompress from the Holidays and recenter and reset for the new year. The inside of the house was exceptionally clean. Backyard could benefit from a leaf raking. That said, I highly recommend this place.

It was nice,it rained most of our stay, so we couldn’t take advantage of the lake and screened in porch. Outside number on the house would be nice. We stopped at the neighbors first.

Perfect Hidden Gem

I booked this VRBO for my brother and his family who was in town for a birthday party. The VRBO was clean, in a safe location and exactly how it was featured on the website. Base camp for Unbound Gravro
This was our second year in a row staying at this place for the Unbound gravel race in Emporia. The bedrooms are spacious and comfy, but the screen porch is our favorite place to hang out. It’s located on a short culdesac close to the lake, so there’s no traffic buzzing by. It was a great base camp for our cycling adventure.

Worked for us. Could use a long dresser in the MB to put your small stuff and personal bath items as there is not a vanity in the bathroom. Laundry area needs a good cleaning, dryer lint and spilled laundry soap that hasn’t been cleaned up. Didn’t cook but appeared to have most everything one might need to cook a basic meal.

Great the little house with cool screen porch
My son and I really enjoyed this place as we prepped to race the Unbound 200 gravel race in Emporia. The bedrooms were spacious, and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was a peaceful neighborhood with lots of trees, birds, and friendly neighborhood dogs. We really enjoyed sitting outside in the screen porch. We would be happy to stay here again.

Great place to hang out!
Every year four of us get together and get away for the weekend. We needed a new place to go, and I discovered this lil gem. It's less than an hr away from KC, which is all the farther we want to go! It's a cute neighborhood. The house is cute, but the best part is the screened in porch, which we totally took advantage of. We decided this will be our new place for our GF getaway!!

The lake house was nice with a great location. However the property and house need a thorough cleaning. We could not use the fire pit and years due to weeds and tall grass. The inside of the house definitely needs a good cleaning.
