"Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Gave us a place to store frozen breast milk for my little one. Gave us extra pillows as needed and extra towels, and reassured us that the desk is manned 24/7 if we needed anything else. The blonde lady we saw originally made sure that she handed over all the info regarding the milk storage to the next staff member so we didn't have to keep reiterating it, would definitely recommend!"

"Our stay in Bridgend at the Cartref house was spectacular. We are three women in our 60/70's visiting Wales using public transportation. The Cartref house is close to the bus and train stations so we were able to travel all over south Wales. We were so happy at the end of the day when we got back to our lovely Bridgend home. And it truly was a home. Everything we needed was supplied. On warm days we rested in a gorgeous garden and on cold evenings we enjoyed a fireplace and central heating. The beds are comfy and there is plenty of hot water for showers. The host immediately responded to any questions. Just down the street are castle ruins and an old church with a grave garden. Be sure to spend some time walking around downtown Bridgend. There are cafés and restaurants and lots of charity shops with hidden treasures. The Cartref house is an extra special place. The website pictures and description don't communicate the happiness you will feel when you stay there."
