"Nice and cozy place, felt like being in Spirited Away! Somethings looked a bit ‘used’, but had clearly had a light refresh recently. Everything was very clean and the staff were very welcoming, polite and helpful."

"This was one of my ultimate Onsen destination for a long time. I read an article about this place being one of the top 5 go-to-onsen not only for Japanese and Onsen lovers all over the world as you need to operate cable car down to the below Iya Valley to enjoy outside onsen with spectacular views. I enjoyed both male and female side in 2 days and I was simply overwhelmed by the scenery. Only down side was the water is not hot enough as it is a naturally flowing onsen water without heating up....

"Very comfortable hotel-ryokan with very good kaiseki food. Since the venue is not new, there were outdated room setup and condition, but the service and comfort very well compensated the shortcomings. "
