OUTSIDE: HUGE yard for throwing frisbees, etc, tree swing, hammock, fire pit, option to set up outdoor movie screen and projector, basketball goal, outdoor gas grill

CLIMATE CONTROL: Ivy's Cottage has central heat and air (2 zones for upstairs and downstairs)

PARKING: There's plenty of off-street parking in the driveway. One guest commented that it's a "boat friendly destination for those looking to fish the beautiful Chick River."

PRIVACY: When in town, the owner lives in the basement apartment (separate, private entrance) and will have their car there. Guests will have full use of the house and yards, and owner will respect guests' privacy.

WIFI: The owner provides guests with 2 hotspot wifi's.

Williamsburg Christmas getaway
This property was very cozy, clean and nicely decorated. It was a great location for us. We went to Busch Gardens and colonial Williamsburg, the property was a quick drive to both places. Would definitely stay there again. We’d like to visit the area when it’s a little warmer!

This house has everyone you need for a comfortable stay. It was clean, spacious, comfortable, and centrally located to all attractions. The back yard was amazing! Highly recommended for large families, or a family with small children.

Williamsburg Getaway
Ivy Cottage was perfect for our trip with adult kids to this area. The rooms are decorated so nicely, the beds are comfy and the kitchen well stocked. The location is perfect for getting to the historic areas and Busch Gardens quickly and easily. The Ivy team was very prompt to respond when I texted them. I would definitley stay here again!

Great spot
The location was great. Easily accessible to the local points of interest. We came for the historical triangle and would recommend all the spots, even those worried about tourist traps. We spent half a day in Newport News Park and were impressed with how good it was as an accessible scenic wilderness.

Wonderful location for our family gathering
We so enjoyed our relaxed stay at the Ivy cottage! It was nice to have such a large property for the kids to play in the yard while folks relaxed on the porch, and other living spaces. We especially loved being able to cook in the "well equipped" kitchen. Thank you

Wonderful family getaway!
We loved our time at this sweet location. It’s in a great location and the owners were very accommodating when we had to move our dates around. The house is cozy and perfect for friends or family to get away! There is plenty of space to spread out of people wanted to, but we stayed gathered at the kitchen table talking or in the den with the coziest fireplace the most! The Wi-Fi was great and we used the Keurig coffee machine a lot. We even accidentally left something and they quickly helped us with the process of getting it’s shipped to us! We highly recommend staying at this VRBO!

House was reasonably well updated, very clean, has a great backyard and overall a very nice stay. It ended up not being an issue but the house is right on a main road and though we never say them, there are tenants living in the basement of the house. We would stay again.

Relaxing home away from home
They had everything you think you could need. Cozy and accommodating since family was unsure if they we able to stay. Unaware that the property owner was staying in the same house, basemen, with young children but we tried our best to keep them from running and screaming constantly. Likes that it was close access to many things but not right in the rush of things either. Very pleased!

The perfect house!
My husband, our 18-year old son and his girlfriend stayed at Ivy’s Cottage during our vacation to Busch Gardens, Colonial Williamsburg and King’s Dominion. The house was absolutely perfect - looked exactly like the photos, so clean and stocked with everything we needed. It was cozy and the location was perfect for us. Would highly recommend this property to anyone traveling to this area!

Perfect Location
We had a wonderful 2 night stay, with 6 people in our family. A very short drive to Williamsburg. The boys loved swinging on the swing. There were rabbits in the backyard. The owner came home while we were there and we never heard anything. We spoke with her and she was extremely pleasant. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

Besties Getaway
Lovely cottage in Toano, close to everything in the historical triangle. Plenty of room for hanging out, gaming, cooking and sleeping. Enjoyed using the outdoor space and firepit as well. Wonderful place for a weekend getaway.

A Wonderful Family & Friends Get-away!
Ivy's Cottage was perfect for our two families of 7 total with three kids under 12! It was super clean and located in an amazingly beautiful area of VA. It's close to all local attractions. Kids loved the outdoor swing and being able to share a room while still having their own beds. Owner does live downstairs when in town but we only saw them briefly the one day they were there in passing and they were friendly and asked if we needed anything else. We had a wonderful vacation and are thankful for our time at Ivy's Cottage!

Most amazing home
We can’t say enough about this amazing property! Completely updated and pristine. This home was so well thought out. The open kitchen was perfect for my husband and I and our 4 kids. The bedrooms were fabulous! We loved the yard as well. We have stayed at a lot of vacation rentals and this was by far my favorite. All the little details really went a long way! If you’re looking to stay in the Toano area, look no further. You won’t find a better home. Thank you again for letting us stay at your beautiful property.

Nicely done cottage close to a busy road
The cottage looked just like the pictures indicated online. Plenty of space and well maintained and decorated. Unfortunately, it isn't the quiet retreat that's advertised. The front door is less than 25 yards from a major road. The road is two lanes in each direction with a posted speed limit of 55 miles an hour and is well traveled. As I was looking for a quiet place to get away and focus on work, this was a disappointment. I did use the back TV room which helped and the sun porch is very pretty and a nice workspace. Overall, it is a pretty interior, but I do wish I had booked somewhere that was more off the beaten track.
