Escape to Oceanside

Our calendar is updated in real-time & our nightly rates are accurately displayed. Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!'

The spectacular landscape of the Northern Oregon Coast awaits when you stay at this beautiful hand-crafted Oceanside vacation rental. With a superb location just a quarter-mile from the beach and breathtaking views of the coast from not one but two south-facing decks, this homey cabin infuses your vacation with a unique touch of the Pacific Northwest.

Tucked away in the quiet village of Oceanside, this home is perfect for anyone hoping to escape the crowds of Oregon's more popular coastal towns. Stroll down the hill to the broad, sandy beach, where you can explore tide pools, go kitesurfing, or marvel at the rugged terrain. For a change of pace, hike up to the lighthouse at Cape Meares, or head into nearby Tillamook for a tour of its world-famous Cheese Factory. (We recommend picking up some groceries while you're there - Oceanside only has a couple of restaurants and no markets.)

The house is built entirely from wood and boasts an unobstructed 15-mile view of the water and shoreline, along with two spacious decks for admiring the scenery. Inside, you'll find two separate sections: a main suite with two bedrooms and a loft, and a smaller studio with a private entrance. There's no TV, but you'll find plenty of books, speakers for your music, and free WiFi for checking your social media and chatting with friends back home. Both the main house and the studio also include their own kitchens with a stove, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher, plus private access to their own deck.

Escape to Oceanside for an Oregon getaway you'll never forget. Book your reservation today!

*Please note that cell service is very poor in Oceanside, and will be a little better toward the road or much better in Netarts (two miles away). Please plan accordingly!

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. We have stayed in the property 3or4 times. The property needs a lot of work done. The deck and porch have rotting boards . The oven and dishwasher aren't properly installed and the kitchen cabinets need To be refinished. We use to like to stay there but would have to look at other options.

Very cute but old
Very cute and the view is to die for. The place was not clean at all; we found mice poop and dust everywhere. The place also needs a lot of renovating: things didn’t work, were leaking etc. We did love the coziness of the place.

The cabin was perfect! So beautiful and had a wonderful view. Make sure to bring some games because they really only had puzzles available! I just wish there was more food in the area. There are 2 restaurants and both of them are only okay.

Stunning view and nice area
We got a very great time staying, this place are great be able to take guests more than 6 or 8. Everything quite comfortable but it kind of need some care and deep clean up. We’re there at July the night time is still slightly cold and day time you got sun shine through, it can be hot if they have some fan would be good. Overall good visit

Funky with incredible views
The location was absolutely stunning. Beautiful views and natural light. There were 2 problems: no curtains in the bedrooms; & a shower with pressure like Niagara Falls. For light sleepers, the creaky wood floors could be an issue. Another extreme advantage was the south-facing aspect, and the wonderful tree, as wind didn't seem to hit the house with much force (we've stayed in places where the windows buckled in a storm). We will definitely stay there again.

Wonderful stay
We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful quiet property. We had a couple rainy days so we enjoyed the view and a puzzle. Close to the beach and a great sunset on tunnel beach. It is a rustic stay that could use some more lighting and mirrors in bedrooms and curtains on bedroom windows but it was a great stay.

Great spot on the Oregon Coast
We had a very enjoyable stay here. The beds were comfortable and the view was amazing. We loved having a washer and dryer. The only down side was it was cold in the house and a little space heater on the main floor was not enough to keep my 80 year old Mom warm at night. It got into the low 30’s. We were able to move the big heater from the loft to the main floor which helped. We were expecting an oven to bake our pizza but the item available to us was some kind of microwave/convection oven combo. Needless to say it did not cook our pizza very well. Bummer! Overall a good experience but no directions on how to work/run things in the house, emergency numbers, info on things to do, or local info.

Location over amenities
Beautiful location and views in a rustic, cabin-like house. No TV or cell service which provides an extra escape to the beach! Here are a few pros and cons to our experience: Pros: Good house heater and hot water, amazing views from most of the house, Short walk down the hill to the beach, binoculars and beach towels provided. There was a washer and dryer and a few laundry soap pods and a vacuum to tidy up yourself mid stay. Cons: The wood floors, rugs, and cabinets are worn and stained and look sort of dirty. The stairs are super creaky and you notice that when others are sleeping. The kitchen was full of random old stuff and some of the glass bowls and plates were cracked so you had to be cautious while hand washing them which we had to do because the dishwasher was broken. It was full of warm stinky water when we arrived and was semi disassembled on the counter. We emailed Vacasa 3 times and never heard back which was disappointing . Since we didn't really want to deal with repair people coming in during our stay we didn't push it further but communication or a "heads-up" before hand would have be courteous. The kitchen lacked some essential items, and a few of the towels and linens smelled sour and should be replaced and there were dust bunnies under the bed. A little more attention to those details would be an inexpensive upgrade and make it feel so much more comfortable to the guests. What I wish I had brought: a small kitchen knife, slippers (since it's all hardwood and they request shoes off and my son got a sliver in his foot), a cooking oil, a blow dryer since none was there as advertised, and my own pillows since I noticed some questionable stains. The upstairs/ main area sleeps 6, and the lower area has a separate locked off of outdoor access and that sleeps 3 more if needed. That's where the 2nd shower (the nicer shower) and toilet are located and there's a mini kitchen down there as well. We had a great time and no regrets about our choice to stay there because of the location, but its always nice to know the details ahead of time.

Amazing property and location in need of repair and cleaning
This property is in an amazing location, with an incredible view, and the house is beautiful—built-ins, woodwork, loft, lots of windows. Unfortunately, the property is in need of major renovations and a thorough cleaning. The cupboards in the kitchen are dirty, outside and in (the garbage bin area in the kitchen is especially bad). Knobs are missing from some of the kitchen cabinets. Many of the pans and utensils are very old and should be replaced. We had to wash all of the dishes in the cupboards because they were dusty. We also had to wash the windows we could reach because they were so dirty and we wanted to see the ocean view as advertised. The closet near the front door was full of sand and dirt and debris, including a wadded up dirty kitchen towel. There were cobwebs all over, and the floor doesn't seem to be have been cleaned thoroughly for some time. The main floor bathroom had a urine odor that didn't go away even with thorough toilet cleaning. Several lightbulbs were burned out, and we replaced the ones we could, but there were some we couldn't reach or that required more disassembly (such as the fan unit in the bathroom). The internet is very slow and should be updated. There are also some more serious / structural issues that need to be addressed immediately: - The fire alarm upstairs has been disabled. - The floors are in need of refinishing. They are rough and splintery. - The deck and railing on the main floor feel very unstable. The railing wobbles significantly. - My husband happened to be outside when I was running the water in the kitchen, and he noticed water pouring out under the house. Upon inspection, he discovered a whole section of pipe that had come loose. He did a temporary repair with duct-tape, but it's in need of professional attention. - We heard animal scratching in the loft and saw several birds fly into holes on the outside of the house. Again, this is an incredible place in an incredible location, and I would love to return once it has been cleaned, repaired, and updated.

Good view and rustic feel
Pros: Great location. Great view. Rustic feel. Clean linens and towels in the main cabin. Fully equipped kitchen. Plenty of board games and books. Wifi and decent internet connectivity. Cons: Woolen blankets in studio unit were dusty (AVOID USING - my brother fell ill). No coffee. Had some expired food items. No blinds or shades on windows. Dim lighting. No oven.

Rustic Cabin with a view.
Great place with two things to note. No oven in the kitchen so plan on grilling or using a stove top to do your cooking. And the WiFi a very old, slow system, just usable for texts and emails. Parking is tight, but we were able to get a SUV and a compact car parked next to the cabin. Easy walk to the beach and a great view from the living room, master bedroom and kitchen facing south towards Garibaldi and Netarts

Dingy but with a great view!
On one hand this is a very unique home. It feels special and has great character. On the other, it really needs some up dating and better cleaning. We found q-tips, crackers and cheese wrappers in the cushions and in the upstairs bedroom. We also weren't exactly stocked up on the basics; enough dish washer soap for one load, only two rolls of toilet paper and could only do two loads of laundry. Otherwise, great location, great view, new sheets on the beds and propane for the grill.

Beautiful location, cabin a bit dated.
Oceanside was beautiful, and the view from the house was amazing. There were little things like kitchen cupboard knobs falling off that could have been better, but that was minor. I wished the upstairs bedrooms had screens on the windows. It was quite hot up there at night, but if I opened up the windows to get air in, we would have moths flying in, so we had to keep them closed. It made for some uncomfortable sleeps unfortunately. I would still choose to stay there again though, location can’t be beat!

Likening to a “favorite movie” you can watch over and over again!
Adorable “old school” wooden beach house with laid-back “60’s” hands on charm and lots of view! We were immediately at home and ready for games, scary stories and cooking with family and friends. Lots of Summer “home library” reading and echoes of past visitors leaving a book or two. Upper house layout ideal for group fun and good conversation, inside and out. The view, the view, the view! And the constant sound of ocean begging calm and relaxation. We give the house an “A”.

Fantastic location but the property is very tired.
Tom, the local property manager was great - with a dropped house key into-the-abyss situation, replacing the lock boxes and a new door handle and dead bolt with a back up key for future tenants. He was very responsive and nice. I believe the online pictures must be at least 10-15 years old. I almost cried when we got inside. It was very musty smelling, with all the seat cushions old and stained. We put them in the laundry room and got a couple cans of air freshener, opened the windows and aired the place out. Helped a lot. The linens and towels were clean and fresh. It wouldn't take much to really update the place a bit, with new cushions all around (even the loft love seat was musty and torn at the arms), and some oil on the wood walls. Even the books were ancient, faded and smelly, so should not be boosted about on the website. We were warned about no phone reception in Oceanside, and my husband did succeed in getting the WI FI hooked up through his phone. The two balconys were super with an amazing view - for the fourth of July fireworks and gazing down on the beach. If you like SUPER RUSTIC this is the place for you.
