Escape to Oceanside

The spectacular landscape of the Northern Oregon Coast awaits when you stay at this beautiful hand-crafted Oceanside vacation rental. With a superb location just a quarter-mile from the beach and breathtaking views of the coast from not one but two south-facing decks, this homey cabin infuses your vacation with a unique touch of the Pacific Northwest.

Tucked away in the quiet village of Oceanside, this home is perfect for anyone hoping to escape the crowds of Oregon's more popular coastal towns. Stroll down the hill to the broad, sandy beach, where you can explore tide pools, go kitesurfing, or marvel at the rugged terrain. For a change of pace, hike up to the lighthouse at Cape Meares, or head into nearby Tillamook for a tour of its world-famous Cheese Factory. (We recommend picking up some groceries while you're there - Oceanside only has a couple of restaurants and no markets.)

The house is built entirely from wood and boasts an unobstructed 15-mile view of the water and shoreline, along with two spacious decks for admiring the scenery. Inside, you'll find two separate sections: a main suite with two bedrooms and a loft, and a smaller studio with a private entrance. There's no TV, but you'll find plenty of books, speakers for your music, and free WiFi for checking your social media and chatting with friends back home. Both the main house and the studio also include their own kitchens with a stove, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher, plus private access to their own deck.

Escape to Oceanside for an Oregon getaway you'll never forget. Book your reservation today!

*Please note that cell service is very poor in Oceanside, and will be a little better toward the road or much better in Netarts (two miles away). Please plan accordingly!

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.

Loved this beautiful place just a skip away from the beach. The town is quiet and perfect for a beach getaway.

Absolutely gorgeous view
We've been staying at this house for over 30 years and still love it. However, it could use a little sprucing up. It needs a new double mattress and a working microwave in the downstairs unit. And also for both units, bath towels that actually absorb water and instructions to the convection oven. Also better dish soap and a pot scrubber would be great. The overall cleanliness could be improved as well. But we will absolutely stay here again.

GREAT view, funky amenities
As usual, the view and privacy made up for a few deficiencies. The kitchen chairs are rickety and uncomfortable, but the couches are excellent. The natural light is outstanding. Light sleepers should beware of the squeaky floors. They still need curtains and more hooks/ shelves in the bedrooms.

Wonderful stay
We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful quiet property. We had a couple rainy days so we enjoyed the view and a puzzle. Close to the beach and a great sunset on tunnel beach. It is a rustic stay that could use some more lighting and mirrors in bedrooms and curtains on bedroom windows but it was a great stay.

The cabin was perfect! So beautiful and had a wonderful view. Make sure to bring some games because they really only had puzzles available! I just wish there was more food in the area. There are 2 restaurants and both of them are only okay.

Cozy Spot walking distance to town and pretty view from Living room
Enjoyed stay, we had a weekend stay and didn't use the studio below us but the rooms were comfortable and living room view is hard to beat. Would have enjoyed a coffee packet or known no TV but overall nice stay

We have stayed in the property 3or4 times. The property needs a lot of work done. The deck and porch have rotting boards . The oven and dishwasher aren't properly installed and the kitchen cabinets need To be refinished. We use to like to stay there but would have to look at other options.

Oceanside
The house had a great view and very short walk to the beach. The bathroom downstairs is very small but fine. The bbq was filthy and didn't work and there's no TV so we brought our own for the the kids. Just a warning though the floors are very squeaky so if you're a light sleeper don't sleep downstairs. Probably wouldn't rent this place again but we are older I think it would be a great place for younger people. They do supply ample necessities. Beautiful views and the two decks were awsome for relaxing..I would definitely book with Vacasa again they are extremely helpful

Very cute but old
Very cute and the view is to die for. The place was not clean at all; we found mice poop and dust everywhere. The place also needs a lot of renovating: things didn’t work, were leaking etc. We did love the coziness of the place.

Very special house
My family used to frequently rent this house when I was a kid. I was so happy to discover it’s still available, AND it hasn’t changed AT ALL 20 years later! It’s a very unique house, beautifully designed, with incredible views of the ocean, tons of character. I’m so happy I got to experience it again.

Great view and very private
The view of Cape Lookout makes this house great. The furnishings are funky but fine, and the natural wood paneling gives it a lot of charm. My problem is with the lack of hooks to hang clothing, since none of the bedrooms have closets. Curtains are also lacking. There are some rotting boards on the deck. Some attention could really benefit this place.

House needs work
While the location had great views as promised it had not been cleaned. Beds were made, but the cooktop was greasy and contained dog hair salsa on the backsplash and wall mouse droppings and popcorn on the floors of the garbage cupboards and under the sink. Microwave had not been cleaned and the floors had not been swept, socks from the previous guest had been left on the floor. Would gave walked right back out the door had we had anywhere else to go Vacasa did have someone come and clean the next afternoon but by then we just wanted to get out of there. We are not first time travelers and probably would not have been so put off by this property if we had not always had great homes through vrbo in the past.

Rustic charmer in need of some updates
My overall rating would be 3.5 if that were an option. The house itself is beautiful and accommodating for the most part. As others have pointed out in there reviews there are some things that need fixing or replaced, but it doesn't look like there are plans to do that with how long ago some of those reviews were. The biggest offenders are the beds and pillows. They are all extremely hard and uncomfortable which prevented my entire party from getting a good night's sleep. There are a couple of windows that you shouldn't open as they are broken, these are the two closest to the stove. The availability of parking is a bit exaggerated. It's a tight squeeze to fit more than one small car in front of the house. Otherwise, the house was very accommodating.

Great spot on the Oregon Coast
We had a very enjoyable stay here. The beds were comfortable and the view was amazing. We loved having a washer and dryer. The only down side was it was cold in the house and a little space heater on the main floor was not enough to keep my 80 year old Mom warm at night. It got into the low 30’s. We were able to move the big heater from the loft to the main floor which helped. We were expecting an oven to bake our pizza but the item available to us was some kind of microwave/convection oven combo. Needless to say it did not cook our pizza very well. Bummer! Overall a good experience but no directions on how to work/run things in the house, emergency numbers, info on things to do, or local info.

Favorite but neglected
This has been a favorite place to stay in Oceanside. The home is warm and cozy, the view is perfect, and love the overall property. But it seems there has been little attention put back into this property for years. Rustic is fine, but neglected and verging on unsafe now is too much. We opened a window and thought we might not get it closed again before it may have been left hanging. Another window is duct taped in place. The railings are wobbly to the point we wonder if you could push them over. You can see daylight through holes that have rotted through the boards on the deck, and the deck shakes when someone is walking in the house itself. After having stayed in this property multiple times over the years we will not be booking here again in its current condition. It is a shame to see such a wonderful place so neglected. Please someone put some care back into this lovely property!

More of a cabin but the view can't be beat.
In the areas that this location is needing improvement such as enough propane for the grill and more plates it makes up for in location and view. It was nice to have a separate studio for my son and his fiance to go spend time in while me and my husband were able to have some alone time as well upstairs. Overall from my experience with these type of homes even specifically in Oceanside the house of a little sparse on what it needed to be as comfortable as I am used to. My husband was excited by the possibility of using the wetsuits until he realized the crotch was ripped out of the only one that would have fit him. Every time we used the toaster oven even a little the fire alarm would go off and we were given one tablet for a four day stay for dishes. Overall we enjoyed the location but still think it is more like a cabin than a traditional Vacasa house that I would stay in. Great water pressure, good washer and dryer, great view, close to the beach, great porch lookout and great nook inside to watch out and enjoy the view or just talk with your family.

Not worth the money
This place used to be owned by a sweet family that loved and cared for it. It’s in awful shape now. Most windows don’t have handles for opening. The porch railing is a liability and a safety issue with a lawsuit waiting to happening. There’s mildew in different parts of the house. The water pressure sometimes goes so low there’s no water. Part of the studio ceiling is coming dish. The studio barely has dishes in it. The have ceilings with peeling paint. The only plus is the view and window seats. It’s absolutely not worth the price. If you have kids, do not recommend because a steady push by a young one and the porch railing will give way.

Great view!
House isn't brand new, it's a rustic experience, however it is functional and clean on the inside. However the view and proximity to the beach are tough to beat in Oceanside.
