The "cabins" are very crude. They don't have AC and are very dated. Having said that, it cooled off nicely in the cabin. There are gaps below door and around windows. If you are prepared for crude then it will be a good stay. You are right by the ocean and very quiet. There are bikes, kayaks and standing boards available for use. The meals were very good too. It was a good experience. Just don't expect fancy at all.

Site idyllique mais à rénover en urgence

Site idyllique, la vraie carte postale : bungalows au bord de la plage de sable blanc et rose sous les cocotiers. Centre de plongée sur place. L'excursion de l'île aux oiseaux proposée est à faire : moments magiques. Petits-déjeuners copieux et les dîners concoctés par Colin sont délicieux. Logements et literie propres. Personnel extrêmement gentil. Par contre, besoin urgent de procéder à des travaux de rénovation, tous les bungalows ne sont pas tous opérationnels. Les vélos sont en très mauvais état : besoin d'être entretenus.

Grosse déception avec hotels.com! Réservation confirmée et règlement prélevé le 23 avril 2024. Mais hébergement non disponible à l'arrivée le 4 septembre. Heureusement que nous avons trouvé par nous même un autre hébergement, sinon nous étions à la rue avec nos 4 bagages. En effet la pension Hotu prévue pour 6 nuits du 4 au 10 septembre nous a accueilli seulement la dernière nuit du 9 au 10. Bien sur aucun dédommagement pour le préjudice et le stress subis, ni de la part d'hotels.com, ni de la part de la pension Hotu. LAMENTABLE !!!!! D'autant plus que la propriétaire de la pension m'avait promis par téléphone de m'offrir une excursion en dédommagement et n'a pas tenu sa promesse. Du coup en attente de son cadeau nous n'avons pas réservé d'excursion ailleurs et avons été privés de ce que nous aurions pu voir à Tikehau. Pour moi Hotels.com et la pension Hotu c'était la première fois et ce sera bien la dernière avec une pub très négative garantie !

Séjour qui a mal commencé. 1 bungalow familial réservé pour 2 adultes et 1 ado, reparti sur 2 bungalows 2 personnes !?!? Mais si vous passez rapidement dans cette pension, vous apprendrez à aimer Jean-Yves et son coeur en or! Il a géré notre problème et a transformé ce séjour de 2 nuits en une parenthèse enchantée. C'est un cuisinier hors pair et le générosité-même. Plage magnifique Demeure des tortues et de quelques requins pres du ponton en pierres. Vélos en etat moyen mais finalement très amusant à emprunter sur l'unique route de l'île.

Gros coup de coeur

Séjour exceptionnel dans cette pension. Accueil chaleureux, repas excellent. Un cadre magnifique. Excursion au top. Mention spéciale à Ben qui est d'une gentillesse incroyable et qui n'hésite pas à se mettre en quatre pour que ses hôtes passent un séjour agréable. La pension Hotu restera notre hébergement coup de coeur pendant notre séjour en Polynésie dépassant de loin les hôtels de luxe. C'est avec un pincement au cœur que nous avons quitté la pension. Points positifs: L'accueil de Ben et la bonne humeur de ses marins. Les repas de qualité et copieux Les extérieurs en bord de lagon Points négatifs: Des bungalow laissés à l'abandon: évacuations non entretenues, chasse d'eau qui fuit en permanence, fenetres en partie HS. Même abandon pour les vélos qu'un petit entretien simple pourrait rendre utilisables. Grille pain et micro onde sales. Dommage car de petites reparations pourraient rendre le lieu idéal.

très bon séjour

super sejour sur l ile de tikehau. très bon accueuil de Ben qui en plus nous concoctez de bon repas le soir. et bonne journee en excursion avec le capitaine Mika ( nage avec les raies. l ile aux oiseaux et le motu au sable rose. on a decouvert le riz au lait de coco une tuerie !)

Fantastic stay on the beach!

Staying with Benjamin Tiatia at Pension HOTU – Tikehau has been absolutely great! The location, housing – and not least the food – has been perfect! If you are into fine dining with exclusive wines under crystal chandeliers and sleeping in silk sheets under down quilts in a chilly air-conditioned bungalow this is not for you – but if you like a neat hut with a fan in the ceiling, a bed covered by a mosquito-net tent, set on a glistering white coral beach with black-tip sharks circling you as you swim in the almost 30°C crystal clear water and awesome, plentiful fish based food – quite a lot of “poisson cru” (raw or marinated tuna, sometimes other types of fish), this is your place. Can you imagine swim-training seeing beautiful curious black-tips swimming alongside you? I couldn’t before visiting this place. We’re already talking about returning in a couple of years, then bringing a couple of our dive interested offspring.

Une superbe pension avec un hôte adorable

Mon séjour à la pension Hotu était parfait. Les bungalows sont sur la plage face à la mer, le cadre est idyllique. Les lits sont grands et confortables, et la nourriture était très bonne. Qui plus est Ben est un hôte très sympathique et vraiment gentil qui n'hésitera pas à vous aider. Il y également un super club de plongée sur place (Coco Dive) avec Xavier pour instructeur qui est super. Encore merci pour tout ben ! Maururu ! Adriane

La pensione non merita neppure una stella, nel bagno, tra l’altro poco pulito, non scolava l’acqua nella doccia, non c’era una saponetta. Le lenzuola puzzavano di acqua morta. Ho chiesto La sera per il giorno dopo di fare una escursione e mi hanno risposto che mi avrebbero fatto sapere l’indomani e alla mattina mi son sentita dire: troppo tardi! Persa l’escursione. Per fortuna sono stata solo due notti, assolutamente sconsigliato!!!

Please read this till the end. Despite everything - negligent food (canned asparagus, canned corn, tang juice in a country where there are plenty of fruits but true, not on that island and contrary to what I have I read here, very big portions although I would have prefer less but better), never been able to have a hot shower - but it was a great human experience, thanks to the manager, Hervé who is a phenomenon. Very knowledgable and not only on his island but also on French Polynesia. An historical crash course on Polynesia. He is very generous, took us on his boat to go on an inhabited motu (island) . And the other customers, french, canadian, americans, made this moment a splendid experience.

Tikehau,le petit paradis

La pension est très bien située au bord du lagon et 5 minutes de l'aéroport. Il y a des velos pour fair le tour de l'ile et pour visiter le village 2 km. Malheureusement il y a personne qui surveille la plage le soir. comme ça on ne remarque pas que les kayak sont abandonnés par les clients et flottent moitié dans l'eau. s'il y a des houles et le vent pendent la nuit, ils vont dériver sur le lagon. Les résultats ne correspondent pas avec le prix. C'était la fin deal saison, donc on avez pas d'intéret de faire des excursions, s'il n'y avait pas assez de clients. Tikehau est plutôt un lieu pour faire la plongée...? Et il faut aimer du poisson pour les repas! Malgré tout, un séjour superbe!

Small paradise

In Tikehau you feel like being in paradise, the white beach, the palms, nice people, no traffic or rush and the most beautiful diving spots! In the pension Hotu we had a warm welcome and very nice host. Good breakfast with self made pancakes and delicious dinner with fish. But although we stayed 6 nights no one cleaned our bungalow during our stay or changed at least the towels. There was a broom in the bungalow so we cleaned by our self and dried the towels outside. With the free bicycles it was easy to explore the small island.

Un site magnifique une excursion remarquablle MAIS

Site magnifique , accueil insuffisant, bungalow non entretenu et très limite au niveau hygiène , repas correctes sans plus, le point positif en plus de la beauté du paysage, l excursion avec Fara et Angelino pour voir les raies mantas, pic nic polynésien sur un motu et visite de l île aux oiseaux échange avec les propriétaires pratiquement inexistant ! Par contre seuls les timides employés nous laisserons un bon souvenir Cher à ne pas recommander, sauf excursion

Pension HOTU, c'est TABU (en tahitien interdit)

Pension située sur une très belle plage, typique polynésienne. Concernant l'accueil, EPOUVANTABLE... aucune chaleur et convivialité des propriétaires.... aucune attention et aucune explication dès notre arrivée et cela durant tout notre séjour. Vous êtes livrés à vous même. Seul but du propriétaire faire du profit.... Pension à fuir..... Seul la gentillesse et l'accueil des polynésiens travaillant pour cette pension était une bouffée d'oxygène pour les clients.... Merci à eux.
