The Shirley May Allegheny River View Launch

Welcome to "The Shirley May", located on the scenic Allegheny River in Tidioute PA. Come spend some time away and enjoy what nature has to offer. We are surrounded by the Allegheny National Forest and the Allegheny River, where there are endless outdoor adventures. Just to name a few... hiking, kayaking, floating the river, fishing.
The Shirley May is Clean & Bright with that beach vacation feel. You can relax on the shared huge "Cracker Barrel" style porch (shared with other guests near by) and enjoy the river view.

Newly renovated in 2021. We have a fully equipped kitchen and A/C to keep you cool during the summer months. Enjoy summer nights by the fire. Don't forget to look up at the stars at night... you will be amazed at what you see! This is the perfect place to connect with nature and leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
If you're looking to launch your kayak or canoe, the public river access is less than a minutes walk.

Need more space to room for group? We have other rentals next door!

Each Villla has it's own private entrance. Guest have full access to yard, fire pits, grills, patio, deck, parking and river access.

Enjoy sightseeing the Tidioute Overlook, Kinzua Damn and beach, Rimrock Overlook & hiking trail, Cooks Forest and so much more. Take a ride downtown and see historical homes and buildings. There are a handful of pubs/restaurant less than a mile away and many more within 5-7 miles away..
You will have self check-in. A door code will be provided to you before you arrive. I will be available anytime during your stay via phone, text or email.
Toilet Paper and paper towel are provided along with cleaning products. You will need to bring bedding and bath towel. Grills are provided, charcoal and propane. You will need to bring charcoal or they sell 1 lb propane tanks (little green bottles). There are 6 Suites at this location. It is a total of 5,000 sq feet. Each suite has their own separate entrance. 3-4 suites share a "Cracker Barrel" style cover back porch with an amazing view. Firepits on-site, wood not provided. There are many near by places that sell wood.

Quiet location, peaceful stay
We enjoyed our stay! Very limited dining options nearby, but the “pub” across the bridge has surprisingly good food! Service was friendly too! Having the dollar store in walking distance was nice. Nice location central to all the hiking and activities we planned! I loved having my coffee outside watching the river. Other than the food options, only negative is thin wall between the bedroom and the next unit, if you’re a light sleeper.

Hiding a bring your own bedding and towels little sentence in middle of huge description is deceptive. To get a reminder to bring a sheet for a pet but not remind me that BTW there are no pillows sheets towels or blankets is BS. Prop Mgr communication is terrible. Cost me addl $145 at family dollar for blankets and towels.

I had a great vacation with my two children ages 5 and 7. We enjoyed the river, and had a blast. The large outdoor fire pits were nice, and were a great spot for stargazing. Also, having the Family Dollar and the country store so close by was great.

The location is perfect! I used to go up there when it was a restaurant, they have done an excellent job renovating it. Exceptional clean, & you don't need to really bring any but you! The staff is great, he is always available, & a really great guy! My buddy & him "strummed" alot over the weekend, we are already planning our next trip?
