"The quality of the property, particularly the downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms, is a bit shabby - feels more like a 'Home of Multiple Occupancy' than a holiday cottage. The big living space is great, though, ideal for the ten adults and 2 children in our group. The kitchen needs some TLC - the equipment is old and some of it not very good (the can opener doesn't work, the cafetiere leaks coffee grounds into your mug, one of the kettles is a bit ropey) but the mezzanine style works well in terms...

"Had a great stay at The Croft, lovely, spacious property with plenty of space for all ages. John and Sarah were very welcoming and on hand to share knowledge of the local area. Kitchen well equipped (even has a wine fridge 😁). Would definitely recommend it "

"Very clean!! Check in/ key collection easy. A personal friendly welcome from the owner upon arrival to give tour and show how to use facilities, Property had everything needed and more. "Great location, helpful hosts. Property a little tired in parts with upgrades an ongoing process. Some areas need early attention and a welcome pack of essentials, which we would happily pay for, would be useful. Adding WiFi would also be great."

"This Location worked very well for us with plenty of room and plenty of bedrooms. The bungalow was more spacious on the inside than it looks from the outside. There was a container in the kitchen that said T but there was no tea in it and no shampoo body wash or anything of that nature in the bathrooms which would’ve been helpful for our guests if they had been provided"

"Lovely stay at The Den. Wonderfully engaging host, so proud of his creations and rightly so! We stayed for 3 nights exploring the area. Visited Bakewell, Matlock & Buxton easily from here. We even had time to cycle some of the Tissington trail to the village & estate. We also ate at The Callow Hall, a 15 min drive away. No doubt we’ll be back at The Den. Thank you Karl! 😁"
