"This was my first time at the Hotel Du Vin. It’s usually out of my price range but this time it was inexpensive. Overall, it was a comfortable stay. This is an old-fashioned English hotel where the floors feel uneven and every room is different and quirky. The room and bathroom were very large. Water got very hot. The decor is old which doesn’t matter so much to me but they really need a clock in the room and some usb ports. The toilet doesn’t flush well, which was somewhat annoying. I missed...

On contacting reception about this, we were kindly moved to a much nicer room with a park view. "This place is outstanding. It’s a lovely location in a quiet village a few minutes walk away to the shop and pub and within minutes your in the countryside exploring the WWII history on offer. It’s very quiet and safe and free parking right outside the door. The cottage is very nice and is a mixture of modern bits mixed with old but has a very well stocked kitchen, a large comfy living area, a down stairs bathroom and toilet and two upstairs bedrooms. I will definitely be back."
