"We spent a week here and went out everyday sightseeing and to different beaches, with lots of walks! Kamilari has a nice feeling about it, very friendly locals, some great Tavernas and a very well stocked supermarket. Not forgetting The Blues bar for cocktails! Vangelis and Tanya are really lovely people and the house was perfect Tanya even made me a birthday cake for my 60th!!"

"My husband & I and two other couples stayed at Penelope Home for 5 nights. The home is located about halfway between the 2 airports on Crete. (About an hour each direction) We liked the central location and enjoyed hikes, caves, the beach and other activities. The suggestions for restaurants and bakeries by our host were spot on. The host also handled our transfers which was very much appreciated."

"We thought the place was charming. The location is perfect. It's on the street right behind the main street so not as crowded and situated in the middle of other shops and apartments. Be prepared for stairs though. We actually kept our suitcases on the main floor vs the bedrooms. Also, the street is not driveable after 11am. Google maps put us on the street at 10:30 pm. Yikes. But it was all good. We got free parking at the Marina the whole time."

"Everything about this place was wonderful. The pictures don’t do justice to how beautiful and meticulously well-maintained this place is. They clearly care about keeping it great shape, and it shows! Marina was very helpful with suggestions and advice. She welcomed us when we arrived and had brought us a basket of fresh fruit, which was very kind. "Stayed in the same complex last year and thoroughly enjoyed it, so decided to revisit in April 2019. We were not able to get the same apartment but were really glad to get number 5. "Loved having all the space of the whole beautiful house. Outdoor seating was lovely though so many delicious restaurants right on the beach. Beds were comfortable with warm blankets on cool nights. Gorgeous stone work inside and out."

"The villa was spotlessly clean, there were all the essentials we needed for a week and some extras that we hadn't thought of like a cool bag and ice blocks for the beach. The swimming pool is great, the showers are very clean and luxurious, both bedrooms have superking size beds. It is a ten min walk to the nearest village and a 3 mile drive to Matala beach which is an amazing place. Maria and Xenophon are brilliant hosts and left us some lovely breakfast items and a superb leaving gift."
