"We stayed Saturday 12th April for just the one night. Ample car parking and a warm welcome at reception. We had room 11 with a balcony it is very basic but clean. A bath with shower overhead plenty of wardrobe space and drawers. A sofa bed and coffee table by the window. No hairdryer available in the room and only one hand towel. "Outstanding place. Very rustic, delicious food, great sevice and immaculate accommodation. The only downside is the noise of the traffic when you are staying in the roof rooms as there is little sound insulation. Take earplugs and you will sleep soundly!"

"Stayed one night. Clean and comfortable. Landlord and manager very attentive and welcoming. Excellent traditional english breakfast. The pub itself is a proper drinkers pub so expect lively clientele in the bar. Would stay again."

"Just perfect, We were not sure when we booked as it was just a place to stay while we visited friends, but if we are in the area we will go back the accommodation was spotlessly clean. The shower was lovely. What can I say about the pub, well all pubs should be like this. The staff were brilliant and the food was amazing. "Easy check in, on first impression room was a good size , bed comfortable , bathroom the toilet looked like it had been broken for dome time, we did message North gate to inform them along with photos, but no response , crack in toilet seat is unhygienic ! Cobwebs in the bathroom as well Breakfast was ok We did inform someone about the toilet seat again when we checked out"
