"While only 1 1/2 hours from our home, we felt like we were far away from our home and busy lives. It was such a restful weekend of sitting around the fire, playing board games, taking walks/hikes, and visiting a brewery. "This was the second time my husband and I spent our anniversary weekend at this lovely spot. We enjoyed it so much the first time, we came back. The renovations are wonderful! We loved just sitting on the spacious deck with our coffee and watching the boats go by on the lake. Our pups loved the walk down to the water. "This is a great lake house - great size, excellent dock, wonderful decks. The house needs some basic maintenance and improvements. The lighting was pretty bad. The kitchen lacked silverware and was rather disorderly. The bath and kitchen towels were very worn and in poor condition. The game room was fun but had many broken games. "We had a nice visit for an affordable price. You definitely get what you pay for here and it was more rustic than we anticipated. While it is a house, the vibe felt more like a cabin due to cleanliness, etc. The bedding and towels were clean and fresh, although the couches could use some cleaning or replacement. "We had a wonderful time at Stephanie's place! The space was clean and beautifully furnished. Stephanie went above and beyond to add personalized touches and treats for us to enjoy! We loved playing the arcade games, ping pong and pool. We also tried out a few of the board games.The location was close to Shenandoah and several local restaurants. We had such a fun time. "What a gem Lake Anna is. We visited from PA and could not have been happier. The home was clean upon arrival and the kitchen had what we needed for the week. It was cozy and definitely shouted lake life. I loved the rooftop deck! We enjoyed the included kayaks. Grocery store was very close. We rented a boat, visited a winery, and enjoyed great food. The weather was sunny and warm, it was what our family needed. Thank you and we will be back. "
