Morton Cottage Sleeps 2 with own hot tub

Morton cottage is nestled in the picturesque Nithsdale area of Dumfries and Galloway countryside. Where we own 6 individual holiday cottages set around a lovely private court yard and can now have exclusive use of their own private HOT TUB and indoor heated swimming pool and sauna. A fee is now applicable and booking is by 1 hourly slots. This cottage has beautiful views of the private courtyard and the Tynron hills which can be seen through patio doors leading out from the open plan lounge/dining room onto your own private enclosed raised patio area which is ideal for BBQ's and outdoor seating. Perfect for any special occasion, including wedding anniversaries, birthday celebrations, Christmas, new year and any other special occasions as we are open all year round. This cottage has a king size sleigh bed and also the option for a sofa bed to be made up which opens out into a double. There is also a hall, open plan lounge/dining room, kitchen and bathroom with bath, shower over the bath, wash hand basin and toilet. The property includes use of a shared washing machine and tumble dryer for your own laundry facilities if you may require this during your stay.

Wonderful staycation
Me and my boyfriend are just back from a marvelous stay at templand cottages. Excellent cottage in a quiet but scenic area in Thornhill. Facilities such as pool, sauna and hot tub were excellent and we were made very welcome. Would recommend and will definetly be returning.

The location was stunning, the cottage was spotlessly clean and very well decorated, the private use of the leisure facilities is what made the holiday for us it was just perfect from start to finish a well needed retreat . Jacqi and len were fantastic hosts and available whenever necessary for local advice etc . We will definitely be back

From getting to our cottage to leaving to go home we have had a brilliant time... It went too quick... Jacqui and Len have been brilliant hosts.. they made us feel really welcome... And let's be honest it was like home from home... Had a really lovely welcome from Jacqui and that set the tone... The cottage we got was immaculate and had the best view of the hills out of our patio windows... One blazing sunrise and one quite awesome chilled misty and frosty morning... This was a walking hiking and sightseeing trip with alfonso the 2 year old blue staffy... He was as chilled as us and loved the surroundings... We got out and about every day but the best part was coming back for a dip in the heated swimming pool and a session in the in-house sauna... We never wanted for anything our hosts were around when we needed them and merged into the background to let us get on with our chilled time... This was a four day taster and we would deffo go back for longer... I would highly recommend this for anyone.... I would just like to thank Jacqui and Ken once more for a brilliant time... Hope to see you again soon

Had such a relaxing time here, jaqui and lenny were a lovely couple, we made full use of the pool and sauna the cottage had everything we needed there's a barbecue situated outside the cottage that we used, overall a great break very quiet place peace and tranquillity thank-you for having us we will see you's again

We wanted to get away for a few days, from the city and loud noise and this property was just perfect, both my partner and I said the little cottages have a Spanish feel to them with the exterior deco. The whole place was very peaceful, the location is not too far from a local co-op for food shopping , and just under 3 miles away from a beautiful castle. For us it was like a little paradise. Deffo will be back again.

Quiet getaway
We stayed here for two nights, the cottages were lovely, had all you needed and was clean. Jacqui was great on arrival and was always helpful with anything we needed or asked and took the time to show us round all the facilities . The heated indoor pool was a great option to have and we made good use of it. The cottages are located a 20min walk to Thornhill where we found pubs and a fish n chip shop. The whole place was peaceful and quiet and would happily re-book.

The cottage was just what we wanted .
As a family with small children the cottage was just what we were looking for. It was quiet, clean and plenty for our young children to do with the swimming pool, games room and trampoline. The owner was very friendly and helpful and we would recommend this accommodation to others - it had everything we needed.
