The home is one mile from the snowy slopes at Crystal Mountain. At the resort, guests can enjoy skiing (cross-country and downhill), snowshoeing, 36 holes of golf, fine dining, spa treatments, and other activities. Guests seeking a hiking experience can enter the Manistee River Trailhead, just over 24 miles from this home. At the end of the day, guests can take a delicious sip of local history at the Iron Fish Distillery just over two miles away.

Terrible communication, needs remodeled.
Not impressed by this place. Broken things that were broken for the last guests too. (I just read review) Sadly, no communication like with normal vrbo rental. You have to go through a third party and they’ll just keep telling you to call back to get updates. No updates were ever given. Nothing ever fixed. Wasted quite a bit of time trying to get questions answered. Feel like I wasted money on this rental. Hotel would have been better. Initially, we thought we’d have use of pool and hot tub for fee but then a day or two before check in the email says you will actually not have access after all. I’ll be more careful about who I book with. These things need attention for next guests: air conditioner is broken and has been (was broken for last guests too, I should have been notified that we would haven’t any AC). Tried to use windows and doors to get air flow. Back door doesn’t slide well, it is broken. Many windows don’t open well. Binds broken. No working ice maker in refrigerator. Filtered water faucet at sink does not work-didn’t care much about that. Ants in bathroom. One tv doesn’t have working remote so you can sit at tv and manually turn channels if you want-didn’t care much about that. Stains all over carpets. Photos make it look super nice! Peeling doors and paint. Sadly, for this area it is an eye sore. It needs a complete remodel. In my opinion it’s not cool to let others stay here before things are attended to.

Great family place
Clean and very large area for family. Coffee pot was never fixed and they told us it was an outstanding issue. They said they would send someone and we never seen anyone. Dishwasher did not work. Kitchen floor slippery, one kid fell. Multiple wall repairs not completed

Vacasa Never More
I hope Vrbo starts to indicate who administrate the houses, because I will never more rent a house administrated by Vacasa. The check in was good, the house was as expected, but the issues we found, communication and response to our requests were simple terrible. The dishwasher was bronken with all dishes inside, some plates and cups. It was stinky and we had no dishes available. We contact Vacasa at check in and request a new dishwasher or someone to clean the old items, since it should be part of cleaning to leave all dishes clean at least. They promised to replace and contact us in the day before. At noon in the second they, we had no contact and called Vacasa again. It was informed that dishwasher won’t be replaced. We asked for at least somone clean the items left in the dishwasher and authorized them to enter in the house, since we were out. Again no contact during the remaining day, when we returned at 5pm, we found all as we left and no dishes available. We called Vacasa again and they said that they were missing authorization to enter the house, that we had given and they never contacted us back. Nobody contacted us back or return, we simple bought plastic dishes for the weekend. About the fact we had no dishwasher, they promised $20 back per day (so far, we didn’t receive and it will be better someone to clean items) In the end, lessons learned, Vacasa never more!

Spacious dog-friendly house, minutes from Crystal
The house was spacious. Updated in some areas, being updated in others. Dishwasher didn’t work, so quickly notified host team (booked through VRBO, hosted through Vacasa) on arrival day (Fri). Responsive messaging with team. Dishwasher to be looked at after our trip (>Tues). Kitchen had updated fridge and stove which must have been bigger than originals as they filled in a bit more, but still provided a spacious kitchen. It seems that some years, host will have Crystal Shuttle service available, but was expired this year (23/24 was a poor snow season so maybe had far fewer guests). Listed as being able to use garage, but didn’t see how to open, or enquire about doing so.

Long ski weekend
The house was easily accessible and property amenities were as described. Could use some sprucing up. Carpets have holes, bathroom floors are coming apart, remote control for TV was chewed on by dogs. Some TLC in between seasons could help. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay. Loved the mud/laundry room entrance. Also open floor plan works great for gathering. We never got the Crystal bus tickets that were supposed to be in the house. Tried to communicate with property manager but communication was not good and if any, replies were not helpful either.

Cute and cozy
We had a great stay at your place. The kids enjoyed their bunk room, the master bed was comfortable, and we appreciated being able to bring our furry friend. Our family has stayed at Crystal Mountain many times to ski and golf, and we've stayed at very beautiful places. For the price range you're at, the place should be updated, if you don't care to rent it out often, then I guess the few guests that you get will pay it. Overall, we enjoyed being there, but appreciate the renovated places more. The place was extremely clean, just expensive, and outdated. I hope this helps you, and others. :) Thank you for having us!

Great property and location but dirty
Overall the stay was good but there are some pain points That need to be addressed. Given that pets are allowed there was not sufficient attention from the cleaning crew to ensure the bedding was clean and free from pet hair. It was so bad we had to strip the bedding and buy our own from Walmart to use on the beds. There was trash from previous visitors still under the beds. Lastly the master bathroom tub drain was terribly clogged and even taking a shower would fill up the tub and would leave soap scum rings around the tub to enjoy seeing the next time you needed to bathe or shower.

Property is in a great location in a great resort. With a pet-friendly unit at a moderate price, we did not have high expectations, but there were several issues with cleanliness and deferred maintenance at the home and we were disappointed with that aspect of our stay.

Counters were not clean upon arrival. Walls and oven mitts were dingy dirty. Random LEGO pieces found around. Just didn’t seem cleaned and sanitized well for covid time we are in. Hoping for extra level of clean right now and with all of those additional fees should have exceeded expectations. Dishwasher not installed and unsafe for loading, sliding doors don’t work well, water kept at super hot level which is unsafe for children and elderly - scald hazard. We liked the house and had a fun time.
