The Riverbend Lodge comfortably accommodates large groups or multiple families with two primary king-sized bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. The main floor primary bedroom contains an optional folding bed and travel crib for toddlers or babies (tucked in away in the closet). The second floor has a large family room with extra sound proofing in the walls and a pocket door to provide two complete living spaces, ideal for kids to play or watch TV while adults enjoy the living room on the main level. The second floor also contains the second king bedroom and has two bunk rooms. The first bunk room has one two queen beds and two twin bunks and the second room has a separate queen bed and a full-over-full built-in bunk bed. A convertible daybed is in the family room and can be made into a third king sized bed or as two adjoined twins (bedding provided for both configurations). The kitchen is fully equipped and ready for use. Enjoy the use of the spacious outdoor covered patio, equipped with dining and living spaces and an outdoor grill. Snuggle in and roast marshmallows around the large fire pit in the warmer months. The extra-large U-shaped driveway can accommodate numerous vehicles, as well as trailer parking.
The Riverbend Lodge provides direct access to the Betsie River, which is part of Michigan's Natural River Program, which protects the natural habitat and leaves the river largely untouched from human interference and is ideal for kayaking. It is home to lots of wildlife, including deer, eagles, and the occasional bear. The salmon fishing in the fall is unparalleled. In the summer months, the river is slow, shallow, and wide for kids to float in tubes, fish, or catch crayfish. This secluded country setting provides expansive views of the starlit night sky, and offers a glimpse of paradise.
