"Lovely place and lovely hosts. Our room was beautiful and communal space excellent. Dinner was great and felt like dinner at a friend's house rather than a hotel. Highly reccommended!"

"Friendly and helpful and the restaurant was good too. Walking distance of pretty medieval town. Pool was appreciated. Good overnight stopping point on a long journey. "

"The interior of the apartment is as described and shown in photos. However, for our stay the pool was not open, the tennis court over grown, and the grass up to knee height. This had the effect of reducing the usable area of the 2.8 hectare property to the driveway and the apartment which was very disappointing to our group and difficult with small children. Most critically, there is no wifi and the property is in an area with no phone signal. The owner is very pleasant and we were able to enjoy our stay fine enough but I would say this is priced for the description not the reality."

"Excellent place to relax"

"We wanted for nothing in this property, everything was provided. It was in a huge, secluded garden, but the property was separate, and a long way from the main house, so we didn't feel enclosed in any way. We sat/ate outside a lot of the time, and felt that we were a long way from the main house. Samur-en-Auxois was everything we thought it was, and François Meunieur was extremely helpful. 10/10!"

"Amazing Chateau steeped in history. Great service and food too. Could do with a little refurbishment of the rooms but still great. "
