We stayed en route to Guisborough to break the journey up. The landlord actually called us to see if we would want food so they could prepare something before they closed. He was very attentive, friendly and helpful, from that call to the moment we checked out. Breakfast was delicious.
Rooms are spacious, clean with everything you’d need. It’s a typical coaching house. Yes - as others have said, it’s out in the sticks, so peaceful and quiet. It’s not five star luxury, but if you’re looking for homely, welcoming & inviting them I’d definitely recommend. It is off the beaten track, however, if you’re looking to explore the area it’s a perfect base for Thirsk, Ripon, Harrogate, York, Sheffield, The Yorkshire Moors and much more.
