The owners house was closer than it seems in the photos but she left us to ourselves unless we needed something. The lane to the Le Gibet is narrow but is one way so you don't have to worry about meeting another car going up. Entering the lane going up the hill is fine as its on the right. The owners were out when we arrived late evening to the gîte; they had pre-warned me already to say they would be out. They responded promptly to opening the electric gates to let us in.
