This lovely Lake Cottage is brand-new to the vacation home world. Be the first to enjoy all it has to offer, and it has a lot to offer. Inside the gates of the incredible Lake Miona Park, you will have full access to the lake, boat ramp, fishing pier, beach, two playgrounds, and six Pavilions (with grills). Bring your boat, kayaks, and beach chairs for a ton of fun.
The front yard faces the park, playgrounds, and Pavilions, and the lake is just a few hundred feet from your door but within view of the cottage. The park makes you feel like you are a hundred miles away from a town, but it's located right inside the famous community of The Villages with its nightly entertainment, dining, and shopping. The famous Lake Sumter Landing Town Square is a five-minute drive. With this cottage, you literally have the best of Florida living.
This is a single-floor home with two bedrooms and one bathroom. Both bedrooms are set up with queen beds, dressers, closets, and TVs. The kitchen, dining, and living room are all open-concept for entertainment. The bathroom has a tub/shower combination. The home has a washer/dryer but does not have a dishwasher. WiFi is provided throughout the house, but it does not have cable or streaming services.
The crown jewel might be the large, screened porch or the brick paver patio with chairs for chilling out with coffee, cocktails, and conversation; both overlook the lake and park. The home also features a “drive through” brick paver driveway to make it easy for boat launching and storage.
Things to Know
This neighborhood is well water only. Well water in Florida has limestone foundation and can have an odor. It is perfectly safe. The home has a Pegasus whole home filtration system, a water softener, a chlorinator, and an electronic rod for the hot water tank, but being so close to the lake, we can sometimes still have an odor. The owners have done everything possible to eliminate the odor, but Mother Nature is still the boss. Most folks won’t be bothered, but we want to warn you if you are sensitive to it.
Access: The Lake Cottage is the guest home for the next-door home. They are NOT the hosts. The two homes share a fenced area. Guests do not have access to the fenced area beyond the entry point of the home. It does not affect the enjoyment, lake access, or privacy of the cottage. Guests will have their own yard space adjacent to the driveway. It is not fenced and includes a paver patio.
This is a very quiet neighborhood with only full-time residents; for this reason, parties or loud noise are not permitted.
This home is located within the boundaries of The Villages, but is not a part of The Villages. You are a few minutes from the public accessible entertainment, shopping, and dining, but you will not have access to the members-only recreation venues of The Villages. However, you can enjoy the free concerts, restaurants, and night of the Town Squares and shopping plazas.

Prior to your arrival, you will receive local host contact information, who will manage your guest reservation. Your local host will provide in-stay support, secure entry, and arrange pre- and post-stay housekeeping services.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
