A wonderful place to take a family!
My family has stayed at this rental home a number of times. We have enjoyed it immensely! The cabin is clean, spacious, comfortable and very nice. The grounds are enjoyable. It has everything you would need. There is close access to all kinds of outdoor activities. I would recommend this vacation rental to anyone!

MADE the Vacation
My wife and I were traveling the mountain west and had been doing a bunch of driving from point to point... I was up for another long stretch and my wife (the smart one) suggested looking for a a unique stop over on our way to Idaho and we found this amazing home! What an awesome location with all the amenities! The only bummer was we booked for too short a period. DEFINITELY need to schedule a longer stay next time through. Very convenient to Jackson, WY and Yellowstone (and) SLC.

Awesome Cabin Rental
My stay was nothing short of wonderful. It was relaxing and the cabin was very spacious & unique. The place is very clean and had every amenity you could want in a vacation rental. The kitchen was fully equipped & the fire pit was a pleasant surprise. The bed was very comfortable and the living room sofa - very cozy with ample quilts/throws to keep you warm on those chilly evenings. I would recommend this cabin to anyone who is looking for a clean, cheery, comfy retreat. My host, Dale Smith was always readily available to answer any questions I had. He went above & beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable. I will be back soon!

Beautiful location
The location was phenomenal! The home was a little too cluttered with decor for me but fairly clean. There was all the necessities to be able to cook in house. There is a beautiful fire pit and outdoor yard but there’s also a sign coming into the property that says No Outdoor Fires, so I’m not sure if you can use the fire pit or not. We did not, but I’m sure we could have reached out to the host as he was more than helpful when I did but I hate to be too bothersome so we just didn’t bother.

Great time at a family cabin
This property has so much character! We enjoyed watching the evening thunderstorms from the deck as there is an amazing view. It definitely is a family cabin vs. a staged short term rental. If you like minimal decor, this isn’t the place for you. If you like a place with character and is interesting then you’ve found a gem!

We rented the house for a family Christmas. It is perfect for a family group that wants to spend time together. It is located in an extremely private setting close to town with plenty of activities close by.

Great getaway in the fall
We enjoyed our Fall Break in beautiful Star Valley. The home was comfortable and we loved that we could bring our family dog. The property is secluded and quiet. We enjoyed playing cornhole, spike ball, and using the long driveway for tossing a football. The property feels off the beaten path but close enough to stores, restaurants, etc. The owners gave great recommendations for all the local fun. Thanks again!

A warm and inviting home in the woods!
We had a great Christmas in Dales cabin. It was a snow covered landscape of a three story home in the woods outside of Thayne. Dales home provides all the amenities you will need for your stay. My husband enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and game room in the basement. Checkin and out was made easy. Dale has the best communication I’ve ever had renting threw VRBO or Air B&B. We are a family of 9 and still had 2 bunk beds left.

Reunion Trip
My family was gathering for a 50th Anni & Reunion. I found this fabulous home and quickly booked it. Gorgeous home with incredible views and the fire pit was used every night as the nightly gathering spot. This entire experience made for a overall great time with great memories. Favorite place in Star Valley
This is our family's favorite spot in the area. It feels peaceful and secluded, and my kids love the variety of activities (pool table, horseshoes, fire pit.). It feels welcoming and homey, and has everything you might need in the kitchen. Great place!

A slight curfuffle
Our trip began quite shaky due to lack of check in information... multiple calls and messages to the property owner went unanswered and VRBO took over 3 hours to come to the conclusion that we might need alternate lodging. Thankfully about the time that we were trying to find our own alternative lodging since VRBO couldn't help, we heard from from property owner who had been out of service. (P.s. be prepared for this... cellular service is sketchy in many areas) Thankfully it was a technical error that kept us from checking in and the house was ready for us as soon as we arrived. After this curfuffle, the property owner was quite attentive... not sure if that was because of the miscommunications or if that is just the norm. Either way, we all arrived to a well appointed house to stay in. Be aware... this house is set off a pasture and sometimes as a result you might see critters from time to time. During our stay we watched a chipmunk along the fence and had a field mouse make it inside the house before jumping to its untimely death in a toilet downstairs. Overall, the stress of the check in was resolved and we had a wonderful stay.

Perfect Oasis
We absolutely loved our stay. The house is so comfortable and has so many amenities to keep everyone happy and busy. The kids loved playing darts and pool. We also loved the fire pit in the evenings while we watched the sunset over the mountains down the canyon. Such a great place to stay away from the crowds in Jackson. We loved being able to go into town for a day or two and then come back to the peace, quiet and beauty of the cabin. It was the most picturesque place, we will definitely come back!
