"The Slate was a beautiful place to stay. My boyfriend proposed at Black Ginger and it was such a romantic setting. Our rooms were comfortable on the resort, staff was extremely attentive. Also, the food blew me away. I didn’t expect too much since it’s a resort. But the food was phenomenal. Especially the breakfast buffet. There was actual quality food. I have never seen a hotel have access to such fresh fruit, flax seeds, goji berries, walnuts, etc. My boyfriend enjoyed the smoked mackerel for breakfast daily. The pools were beautiful. Our room was reasonably quiet. There were some loud people above us but I was able to drown out the sound pretty well. Honestly it couldn’t have been a better stay!"
