This unspoilt corner of the Cotswolds is a dream come true for anybody looking for a peaceful escape. Charlton Down Cottage is hidden away just a stone's throw from spectacular Cotswold highlights such as Westonbirt, Highgrove Gardens and Tetbury.
The cottage retains its charming traditional character while the spacious and well-equipped rooms make it a contemporary home-from-home. Start your days with breakfast in the garden and you'll find you can't resist the draw of your natural surroundings. The area is criss-crossed with walking routes, and you will be rewarded by the country pubs you stumble upon. Coming back to Charlton Down Cottage the handy utility is an added bonus giving you space to clean muddy paws. Lighting the woodburning stove in the open plan living/dining room you have a cosy evening ahead of you. Prepare a homecooked meal using local produce to be enjoyed at the dining table and watch a film together in the comfortable sitting area. Ideal for couples or small families, there are two king-size bedrooms and a large bathroom.
At any time of year, the garden is a feast of colour from the fiery reds and oranges of autumn to lush greens in the summer. If you're lucky enough to stay when the laburnum is in bloom in spring you're treated to a glorious display of bright yellows. It is a fantastic place to spend time with the dogs, enjoy the views while relaxing with a book and cook up a feast on the barbecue. There is off road parking for up to four cars on the gravelled driveway.
