Casa Lanciotto

Built in late 1.700 and totally renewed, it is fully furnished with antiques.
"Casa Lanciotto" of Borgo Fajani has 5 very comfortable bedrooms (3 doubles, 1 single and 1 twins) , a large living room with fireplace, kitchen with balcony, family bathroom with bathtub and two more bathrooms with shower.
"Casa Lanciotto" shares the swimming-pool with 3 more units of "Borgo Fajani".
The house enjoys the exclusive use of a covered terrace right in front for special ‘al fresco’ dining.

Two restaurants!
Only a few steps from your Borgo Fajani house there is “La Locanda degli Artisti”, a tiny lovely family restaurant, owned by Manuela and Carlo, who cook only with local fresh organic produce.
And few steps away as well "Laqua Vineyard" a Michelin 1 star restaurant!

Amazing Tuscan experience
What a fantastic place, spacious, spotless, quiet and what fantastic views! A little jewel of Tuscan history. The pool was wonderful and it was great to have the outdoor dining area and bbq. Casanova is very central and all the major places to visit are not too far by car. There are vineyards within walking distance, and great restaurants in the area. Alfredo is definitely the best host we have ever had. He responds immediately to questions, he helped us organise tours and made great suggestions. Nothing was too much trouble - we will be going again next year

The Authentic Tuscan Experience
Our family of six just spent an amazing, dream-week at Borgo Fajani. Our young kids adored the pool and the farm-setting, especially the cats and dogs that wander near the working dairy-farm next door. We made some day-trips to Sienna (easy by car) and Florence (take the train), which were very manageable. However, some of the best experiences we had were much closer - all of which were recommended by Alfredo, who was very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. We visited a nearby vineyard for wine-tasting as well as an olive oil producer who gave us a tour and tasting, we had some of the best gelato down the road in nearby La Rosa and the most amazing meals of our stay in the small, mostly organic restaurant located just 40 meters from our door. We are still talking about them while enjoying the cheeses we bought directly from the farm next-door. The views were astounding, the property old, but clean and well-maintained, with high-ceilings giving it some authentic real, old-world charm. Our apartment didn't have direct access to a yard/garden, which was not evident from the pictures, however, sufficient communal space was available for the kids to play just next to the pool. The dishwasher needed some pre-cleaning help to get the dishes truly clean. Otherwise, the house was stocked with basic necessities and Alfredo was available and quick to answer for any and all questions and needs - immediately replacing a broken basket used to lower food from our kitchen balcony to our pergola, for example. We came away deeply satisfied, with some precious memories of our stay. We hope to be back soon! Grazie mille, Alfredo!

An ideal Tuscan Getaway
We stayed one week at Borgo Fajani at the end of June and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! We were two families traveling together (4 adults, 4 kids) and had plenty of space, the teenage boys each got their own room, the living room and kitchen were comfortable gathering places for the whole group. Even with temperatures of 36-37, we stayed plenty cool with the “country style” air conditioning, screens on the bedroom windows and fans throughout the house kept the bugs at bay so we could sleep with the windows wide open—cool and refreshing! All of us, but especially the kids loved the pool, whether for an afternoon playtime or an evening cool down it was perfect, and the loungers afforded a beautiful view. The house was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. As great as all that was, what made the experience really special was having Alfredo as our gracious host! He was around most mornings and happy to chat about the history of the place or offer an impromptu recommendation. We took his advice to heart for places to visit, restaurants and even a beach. Alfredo never steered us wrong. Thank you for a great vacation!

Wonderful authentic tuscan experience
We loved staying at Borgo Fanjani! The views are incredible, the place has everything we could ask for- even bikes! It is rustic and charming. Our group of six had plenty of space. Alfredo, the host was helpful and informative. The setting is just gorgeous and the location is close to Volterra, Pisa and Florence. Perfecto!

A very beautiful location
My family came and stayed 9 nights in the large propery in beginning of October 2018. We were 10 in total, including one infant. The property is very nice, renovated in a rustique style fitting of the absolutely stunning location. It has a large kitchen that fit us all easily. The property is simply great with some amazing viewpoints and family friendly. Along with the rental comes a dedicated gazebo area next to the pool with sunbeds. It also come with a dedicated outside area separated from the house to sit and eat/chat that also has stunning views and possiblity to bbq. The local restaurant using only local produce is absolutely superb! Alfredo is very friendly, gives great local tips and helps out if anything is amiss. Overall we loved the place and would consider returning. The reason why we have put 4/5 stars are because of 2 minor things, unfortunately perhaps out of Alfredos hands. 1) We came in 3 cars and combined with the other guests cars, the village people and due to a construction going on in the village, parking was a bit sparse. Two cars easily fit in front of the house but the third had to be parked on street somewhere in the village. On a few occasions the local villagers got quite upset if a car was parked outside (note: not blocking anything) their property and one time we got yelled at. 2) The village has a lot of animals and whilst this is very nice and atmospheric with kittens, chickens etc around, especially for my family who loves animals, one villager let their pack of dogs roam the street outside their house. They do not go beyond that small section, but if you walk around the village (or have to park the car there) they will come out. One of them nipped me when I was walking past. We highly recommend this fantastic place! It's a stunning location not too far away from Pisa, Florence, Lucca and it's very family friendly.

Charming house with very helpful and friendly owner
The property is absolutely charming and spacious. It was lovely to find there was oil, soap and washing up liquid already there. The pool is quiet and has a beautiful view over the valley, while the outside patio with tables came ready stocked with mosquito coils. The supermarkets are reasonably close and there is a bakery and some small shops within a short bike ride away. The bikes are great, but bring your own helmet. We found the location great for visiting the coast, Sienna and Florence as well as the local hill towns. There is a very friendly restaurant within the hamlet and the local farmhouse let us taste the local cheeses before buying. We had a lovely family holiday with three generations. Everyone had their own space and enjoyed their time there.

Splendide vue!

Very beautiful house and surrounding with the charme of tuscany
We had a nice house in our vacation at tuscany. Alfredo was helpful and friendly. The house has had his very own nice style. The view from the windows and from the pool was also very beautiful. So was the pool itself and the garden where every house has its own place to relax. I can recommend this house if you want to stay in a typical tuscan house while being in italy with access to a car.

A beautiful small hamlet set on a typical Tuscan hill.
The villa was perfect for our family group, 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It has everything you could need or want. Beautiful views and a lovely pool and terrace. Alfredo greeted us warmly, we had visited two years ago and he was his usual friendly self. We had a wonderful holiday, it is well placed to visit all the jewels of Tuscany. Good supermarkets nearby. We loved BBQing and eating on our terrace. We hope to return.

great holidays in the Toscana
Also, etwas für Romantiker. Carina

A great place.
Excellent location to visit the towns of Florence, all within an hour. Quiet but quickly onto main roads. Back for a swim, relax by the pool, very nice area. Then good simple meals in nearby villages. Alfredo the owner very helpful with fluent English. In a small hamlet with working farm, so very fresh milk, eggs and also cheese.

A secret gem in Tuscany
This is a gem that I almost don't want to share with others because I want to save it for myself. The hospitality is great and all, but the real amazing luxury with this place is that it is so calm, so beautiful and 100% authentic. You actually talk a walk across the road to buy wine, you walk 30 meters from the house to buy fresh cheese and milk and you borrow a bike every single morning and bike to get the breakfast panne. Absolutely perfect everything.

Magique!!!

Great location!
Just spent 10 days at Casa Lanciotto. Perfect location for Florence, wine routes, beach, Sienna, San Gimignano, mountains. House was comfortable and the view from the kitchen balcony just stunning. Enjoyed the swimming pool, and also had lovely evenings drinking sundowners and eating on the garden terrace. Great restaurants close by as well as wineries to visit. September weather was perfect. Finally, Alfredo is a great host, always available to help, and full of good ideas and local knowledge to help plan trips. we were sad to leave...

Welcoming, the feeling of being at home, clean, wanting to return, sunny, warm.
A holiday to remember where Alfredo made you feel welcome and for whom nothing was too much trouble. He was on sight every day and if there was a problem, how ever small, it sorted asap. The location was sublime and the views to die for. Looking out from our balcony you could see for miles over the Tuscan country side, there was even a view from the loo!! The swimming pool was spotless and shared the view. The villa is part of a small ancient hill community and literally 50 meters down the narrow road was a small but perfectly formed family run restaurant which was open 4 or 5 nights a week. Two for pizza's and the others more traditional and one with music, it was great. Plenty of shops and eating places nearby and a location I would recommend to anyone, whatever their age.

Most Extraordinary Experience
We haven't stopped gushing about our stay at Borgo Fajani! Our restored farmhouse had all of the old-world charm and the new-world comforts we needed. We rose to the sounds of birds, dined on fresh eggs and cheese from the shop down the road, and soaked in the spectacular views of vineyards, olive trees and rolling hills. The house was not only well-equipped, but cool and comfortable in the hot summer heat. As others have written, this is the perfect location to explore other sights. We took day trips to Pisa, Lucca, Siena, and Florence. But the days we enjoyed most were probably those close to our home base. We attended the wine festival in Terricciola and tasted at local wineries. Alfredo gave us some wonderful visiting tips (do read his booklet of recommendations) and we thoroughly enjoyed dining at the restaurant within the hamlet. Don't hesitate to book. It's simply wonderful.

The perfect place for a great vacation
Borgo Fajani is the perfect place for vacation. We arrived to Borgo Fajani for the second time after a break of 10 years to find again a great place to stay. Casanova is a very small village that combines all the needed ingredients for vacation in Tuscany: Quiet, nature, beautiful scenery, vineyards, cheese, olive oil and it is close to all attractions. Borgo Fajani offers apartments for couples as well as for families. The Il Signorino is a beautiful apartment with a view that usually exists only on postcards. The house is very clean and the swimming pool is being cared of and maintained daily. Alfredo is a great host giving a lot of attention to his guests. A great guide for the region with special tips, always available when help is needed, very reliable and a real friend. The last thing we did before we left, was to book our summer vacation in the Borgo Fajani for the next summer. 5 stars is the maximum we can give here, if we could, it would be even more.

That's what dreams are made of!
My wife and I and a couple of friends spent three weeks in October at the Il Signorino villa. Our decision to pick that location among the hundreds of others available in Tuscany was based in a large part on the reviews that we read right here on this very same page. "This is too good to be true" was our first reaction. But every morning when we woke up and looked out the window, we had to pinch ourselves to make sure we weren't dreaming. Because it felt absolutely like a dream! Think of the breathtaking rolling hills, the amazing sunrise, the friendly locals, the fascinating surrounding towns, It's got it all. Not to mention the wines! The property is kept very clean. Every morning, you could see Alfredo, the owner, cleaning the pool meticulously, even though the weather was a bit on the cool side when we were there and was therefore hardly used. "I want it to look nice on your pictures", Alfredo said. After reading all the reviews written so far on Borgo Farjani, it's hard to find anything new to add. All I can say is that it's all true. I know, I was there!

Tuscany
We had a wonderful time at this quaint villa in a small town, only an hour drive to Florence. The views were amazing and the owner, Alfredo is a very kind and thoughtful man. He was available to answer all questions and help in any way. The home was clean and heat worked well as needed. The pool was clean and ready for use. I would stay here again. Centrally located for day trips all over Tuscany.
