"We really enjoyed our stay here. It was easy to get to with minimal stairs from the train station. It was really nice having the patio with a view of the sea. The place has a wonderful aesthetic that really suits the property. There are tight stairs up to the bedroom level so we opted to leave our luggage in the front room. Wasn't an issue for us. The washroom is also down stairs. So if you have to get up in the middle of the night there are quite a few steps (2 lvls). The trade off is it is...

"Paolo was wonderful and kind host. The village of Vernazza was very charming and picturesque! The property was a little beat up- one of the windows wouldn’t shut and there was a storm that night the window was banging and it scared my youngest son. Although, you had to climb a significant amount of stairs to get to the property, it felt like it was straight out of a movie. "

"We were blown away by our stay at Lorella’s beautiful guest cottage in Manarola overlooking the Ligurian sea, Manarola village and mountain vineyards! Lorella was the consummate host to welcome us to her home and village and to explain trails and restaurants nearby. It was a perfect space for a couple. "Nice apartment - at the top of Manarola so be prepared to walk up hill. The photos of the apartment show a nice deck with chairs - which was the main reason we chose to rent here - unfortunately, there is no deck at all. Pretty view of the ocean and village if you lean out the windows, but no outdoor space at all. That was pretty disappointing. Everything worked in the place and it was clean."

"I get the feeling the owners have just bought this house & are just starting to rent it out. It seems they have upgraded some parts of the apartment but others are old i.e. the kitchen doors look new, but the carcasses are very old. The lounge felt like it was missing a tv. There was a sofa for 2 facing a wall, with your back to the views of the hills, which felt odd. Every room in this house is designed with so much attention to detail and taste that you feel at home from the very first second. "Alberico's house is simply enchanting and so is the hamlet of Ponzanello. You really feel like you're stepping back in time (except you have access to all the modern amenities which is great)!
