Welcome to Melrachelle, a spacious and serene holiday bungalow nestled in the beautiful Welsh countryside. Located just outside Tenby, on the edge of the charming village of Penally, this light-filled retreat sleeps up to six guests and offers a tranquil escape just a short walk from the sea, Tenby town centre, and the famous Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.

Our dog-friendly bungalow features a large, enclosed garden perfect for relaxation and outdoor dining, with plenty of nearby walking trails to explore. The home is tastefully decorated and equipped to the highest standards, ensuring a comfortable and inviting stay.

Enjoy the convenience of off-street parking for up to three cars.

The well-equipped kitchen features a fan-assisted oven, hob with extractor fan, dishwasher, washing machine, and fridge freezer. The adjoining dining area includes a large table that comfortably seats six, along with a DAB radio for your enjoyment.

Relax in the lounge, which boasts a three-seater sofa, a two-seater sofa, and two reclining armchairs. The entertainment options include a large Smart TV, a DVD player, and a library of films. Both the kitchen and lounge open directly onto the garden, where you'll find a spacious patio with a dining table and six chairs, as well as a grassy area with a bench and reclining sun loungers.

The sleeping arrangements include a master bedroom with a king-size bed, and two additional bedrooms, each with twin beds. Fresh linens and towels are provided, so all you need to do is unpack and relax.

Please note, bookings are accepted for a minimum of seven days, starting and ending on a Friday. We do not have facilities for babies, making Melrachelle the perfect retreat for families, friends, and couples looking to enjoy the peaceful Welsh countryside in comfort and style.

Had a great stay !! Very comfortable house, well equipped, easy parking, nice garden with great view. Good communication from host. Ideally located 20 min walk from centre of Tenby, also good walk to beach through caravan park.

Think as a family property for holidaymakers if adding an enclosed play area with equipment and a stone built BBQ may give more interest to families. Adding some raised flower beds at the side of fencing to give a little colour in the garden would be nice. Some cobwebs in fireplace and corners of rooms. One towel had stains on. Sink in main bedroom cracked. We as a couple would have liked grass cut and washing line to be in full working order. Would definitely recommend for location and well equipped with what is needed. Nice gesture with the bottle of wine. Would return again in the future.

Brilliant location
Absolutely loved this place, peaceful, well equipped good safe garden. Comfortable beds and nice sofa's in the lounge. The hosts Victoria kept us informed throughout, nice to be 5 minutes out of Tenby with a shop 2 minutes walk and a great pub the Paddock 5 minutes walk with a stunning pint Guinness. Will be our go to place next time we're in the area

Great holiday getaway
Lovely homely environment. Kitchen was extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Location excellent...quiet, yet with a half hour stroll to Tenby, and close to main roads for exploring Pembrokeshire. Towels and bedding spotless. The only downside was that the bedrooms were slightlu musty when we arrived, but fine after a good airing. Lovely place and would stay again if visiting the area.

The house had everything we needed. Good position , handy for Tenby, good safe garden for the children, and unusually for a holiday property, a really good parking area for our cars. The only problem was that we inadvertently booked for the weekend of the Tenby cycle racing and marathon. Having young children with us we found the road closures quite restrictive, and at one point we were directed down the Ridegway to escape, only to be turned back and sent back to where we had come from.. In future we will know that we have to avoid this weekend in Tenby.

We really enjoyed our stay at the bungalow, it was very homely and had had everything we needed as well as being well located for the beach and Tenby. The bungalow was clean and well presented with nice views of countryside and comfy beds.

Perfect base for our holiday
We loved this very comfortable, well equipped cottage which was in an ideal location to see the surrounding area. The property was really clean and communication with the owner was always speedy and clear . It was everything we could have asked for and we were made to feel very welcome . There are numerous really pretty places to visit all within 20-30 minutes drive and Tenby us easy to walk to with its beaches and restaurants . A trip to Caldey Island is a must !

A real home-from-home!
Well maintained, spacious property with lots of thoughtful touches such as a bottle of wine left on the kitchen table. As weather a bit 'iffy' at times, we much appreciated a warm and comfortable base in good location. Lovely to have the horses so close in the adjoining field.

Me, my kids (20,19,15,12) and our little dog 🐕. Easy and pleasant 15min walk from house to Sth Beach - which goes past a mini supermarket (very useful to get bits and pieces !). House is excellent - shower fab and nice big telly with tonnes of DVDs to choose from. Highly recommended.

The property was as advertised and in a perfect position for accessing the beach via kiln Park. You could walk to town which took approx 30 mins. It is uphill on the way back but we enjoyed the walk. It is easy to get to surrounding areas and a perfect base for a family break. All the usable areas had been cleaned to a high standard. Beds made up on arrival and all cleaning products were provided for our stay. We didn't get to use the pubs and restaurants as they were all fully booked for the duration due to Covid limiting spaces but the kitchen was a lovely social space to cook with the family with everything you need. We were left a bottle of wine for our arrival which was a lovely touch. We will definitely use Melrachelle again. Loved the countryside views and having horses as neighbours was a lovely added bonus. A very relaxing stay 😊

Property is in a great location for visiting Tenby and neighbouring places, we didn’t have to travel more than 20mins to go to the places we visited. If we had a problem Victoria would reply very quickly. Missed not having egg cups but we managed. Would definitely recommend staying here to family and friends.

Comfortable and Well located.
The bungalow was perfect for us and our Golden Retriever (good sized garden and large field immediately next door) and later our daughter and baby granddaughter joined us . It was very comfortable for all of us. The bungalow is well equipped, comfortable and so well situated for beach, footpaths and places of interest. We walked on the beach, from the house, every evening. We definitely recommend Melrachelle

We absolutely loved our one week stay at Melrachelle. The garden is completely enclosed so even the smallest dog could not escape! The countryside views from the kitchen and lounge were stunning. The drive beyond the gate and the additional parking area at the front easily accommodates three to four cars which is fantastic. A lot of holiday accommodation has restricted parking but not the case here. The bungalow was very clean. It did not smell "doggy" at all. The kitchen was equipped with all the crockery, cutlery and every utensil you could possibly need. (There was no microwave during our stay (21st to 28th June 2019) but maybe that is just temporary). The settees in the lounge were quite low which could be a problem for an older guest but no difficulty for us. There are a couple of steps up to get into the bungalow whichever external door you use so bear that in mind if mobility is an issue. The bungalow is in a great location being in a rural spot but not isolated down a country lane. The road fronting the bungalow does have a pavement so safe to walk from the bungalow to the beach and into beautiful Tenby. The property owner, Victoria, left us a welcome card and a bottle of wine which was a nice touch. We have given Melrachelle a full 5 stars and we would definitely return and have already recommended it to others.

Clean, warm, great location. Comfy We arrived with 2 dogs desperate for a walk and realised we had no poop bags. Went to 3 shops with no luck. Finally bought some. Returned and looked in kitchen drawer to find 100. Washing up liquid, loads of towels, laundry liquid, first aid kit - Everything you need is there.

We stayed at melrechelle in july 2018 thehouse itself was wonderful everything was there that you needed to make your stay there unforgettable there was six of us there plenty of space for all . it was also the long weekend race swimming bikes and running people everywhere in the area but still no problem getting around i would highly recommend this house 🏡 hopefully we will make a return visit thank you
