Been staying there since 2005. Just much worse than it used to be but you can’t be the location for the money. Good value but needs some updating and renovations on the rooms

Dirty Deborah needs Renovations.
Horrible. This hotel needs a complete renovation, and should shut down until it is done. There were blood stains on my mattress pad (I demanded that they change them, and had to ask them to vacuum the room; I guess it's not a normal thing they just do). We never took our shoes off in the room. There were stains and chips all over the bathtub. The towels were threadbare. There were holes in the sockets were we went to plug in hour chargers- they were broken outlets. The air conditioning barely worked. The room was humid, and there was a stench in the air. Our bathing suits took 3 days to dry. Some of the lights did not work at all. We ate breakfast there the first day, but it was so bad, that we never went back. I am picky, and I could not eat there. It was dirty and gross. I have stayed at the Dan Panorama (4 stars) and thought that was amazing, and that is what I compare all my breakfast to. We went out to eat; I demand a clean environment, and delicious food with lots of HEALTHY choices. The only redeeming quality this hotel has is its location. Renovate this place, redo the dining room, and I will return.

Good hotel - mattress horrible
Booked one night only. Didn’t use breakfast so can’t commebt on that. Clean, central and friendly. The mattress however was very poor quality and I am glad I only have to sleep on it for one night. They definitely need to upgrade them.

Location is awesome, but the hotel needs a complete renovation! Nice about this hotel that they offer breakfast in the price and it is quite generous. Cleanness is not their forte!

The staff was pleasant and professional. The room had all of the necessary amenities..it's an older hotel but it's been renovated to meet american traveler standards. The wifi worked great. Breakfast was awesome. Location is INCREDIBLE....walking distance from beach and other main city streets.

Deborah Is An Old Gal But Still Going Strong
Our stay at the Deborah Hotel was pleasant. It is in an excellent location for beach and Dizengoff Street. The hotel is older and in need of some updating, but the staff and other things make it a great place to stay. It has far more character than any boring chain hotel.

Location, Location, Location
Great location. Easy walk to a lot of places. Lots of shops along Ben Yehuda. It's only a couple blocks to the beach. Also a ton of shops on Dizengoff only a couple blocks away. There are convenient bus stops nearby. Take the #10 bus at the bus stop across the street and it will take you to the train station. And, obviously, you can take a taxi. Use the Gett app on your phone. So, you can get to pretty much anywhere you want. Another review said this was a value hotel, and indeed it is. You can see some wear and tear because it's on the old side. But the staff kept it nice and clean. The breakfast was simple but plentiful. However, I've never been to another Israeli hotel to compare breakfast. For you Americans, you must try the shakshuka, a traditional Israeli dish. The staff was very helpful. I got recommendations for nearby restaurants. They told me which bus to take to get to Azrieli Center and Ha Carmel Market. And they patiently explained about all those coins that I got after paying for a bus ride. So, yes, I'd come back. You can get to anywhere you want. And if you don't want to go anywhere, you can always go down to the beach. And it doesn't cost and arm and a leg, so that you can spend your money for other things . . . like food!
