"Montisi is a quaint village that is anywhere from 10 minutes to one hour drive to fabulous hill towns and wine tasting. The house is simple but charming. We spent most of our time while at the house by the pool, dining on the terrace and enjoying the beautiful views and sunsets. "Nice house suitable for a family of 3-4. Two bed rooms, one with a double bed. Living room and well equipped kitchen. Very cozy property a kilometer or so from the town center. The host family lives in another house on the same property, and are very nice and hospitable, while not being intruding in any way. The house itself was so charming and well stocked, the grounds beautiful and well maintained, and the pool and welcome retreat each day after exploring the surrounding towns. "Nice enough property, very clean. You need to reconfigure furniture in living room so more people can sit. Ok for 2 people but not really inviting and comfortable. Don't need the dining table in that room or that huge hutch. More wine glasses and bowls needed. Update master bedroom mattress. Very uncomfortable. Grounds very enjoyable! Property manager very responsive and helpful. Not really walkable up to hilltop. Reason for the lower rating is the house is over 200 years old...

"Quiet, charming location which was central for day trips to Monte San Savino, Florence, Lucca, Pisa, Cortona, Montepulciano and many other villages in Tuscany. The pool was lovely, gazebo had honeysuckle and other flowering vines surrounding it which was a nice location to get out of the sun. Many olive trees surround the house and we did manage to see a wild boar, many geckos, birds and even a snake."

"Property built in the 1600's updated to accommodate a modern family! Beautiful Tuscan countryside just outside your door! Pool is a welcome addition for summer stays. Owner (Marina) and caretaker (Emanuela) are communicative and very very responsive! The welcome basket with perfect food choices helped start our 8 day stay! "Een spartaans vakantiehuis met een prachtige tuin en heerlijk zwembad. Het huis zelf is gedateerd en bestaat uit 2 verdiepingen. Boven kan je slapen met een gezin aangezien daar een airco is die redelijk werkt. Beneden geen airco dus vrij warm en muffig (was voorheen de stal). "This property is everything we wanted a Tuscan villa to be. We were 5 couples celebrating our 60th birthdays. We all had private bedrooms with private bathrooms. The location is perfection. We could walk to the historic town of Cortona in under 25 minutes, but our property was completely private with a view that was spectacular. In the morning the birds and church bells are your music and the flowers and fruit trees are in abundance."

"The pictures don't do the place justice. This villa is like something out of a Hollywood Rom Com set in an idealistic fictional Tuscan village. Not only is the villa and the views from every window simply stunning, the town of Loro Cuifena is one of the prettiest villages in all of Italy. The ONLY downside is that the drive up the mountain to the villa is not for the feint of heart."

"This is a stunning property with a stunning view that photos simply cannot do justice to. My only reservation was the very poor directions to find it and some difficulty getting a hot water issue sorted out . The garden is stunningly beautiful and lavender bushes a hive of activity for bees and gorgeous butterflies that did not desturb us in any way even when standing in their midst observing them closely. "We had a fantastic week in this lovely villa. It really does have everything you could possibly need - a real home from home. Lots of lovely spaces inside and out to enjoy. We loved sitting out in the evenings having dinner and we’re lucky to be there during the Perseus meteor shower and saw lots of shooting stars in the clear skys. "This house is very nice. It is centrally located outside Siena and good location to explore all over Tuscany. It is off the beaten path so you’ll definitely need a rental car. Even just to get there. It is remote. Which is a plus but also has some drawbacks. We went in March so pool was closed. Too cold to swim. House is several levels. Kitchen and dining room are downstairs. We cooked several simple meals after going into town to grab groceries. Nearby town is nice. Not a lot of restaurant...
