Tegernsee was known by the Benedictine monastery founded in 746, which now belongs to the Wittelsbach family. In addition to the private rooms of the Ducal family, the building houses the Degli Tegernsee brewery (brewery and the associated "Bräustüberl"), which is known far beyond the borders. The former monastery church of St. Quirinus and the state gymnasium. A lakeside path (some with jetty over the lake) offers you an entertaining walk from your accommodation to Tegernsee Castle. The construction of the villa, in which the apartment is located, dates back to 1838/39. The architects brothers August and Friedrich von Thiersch redesigned the building in 1873/74. The two architects have u. a. also the justice building Munich and the Kurhaus in Wiesbaden built. The history of the house in Tegernsee is varied: Built as a representative palazzo in Italian style for the Serf Prince Welimir Mikhail Theodorovich, the building was also the "Grand Hotel Bayerischer Hof - Tegernsee" and later even housed the police station and the prison of Tegernsee. Today, the "Palazzo" is a thoroughly renovated and renovated magnificent building. Stucco ceilings, rosettes, high and bright rooms create an airy ambience.
