"The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. The room not that clean as I would expect. Loved the room with fridge and snacks. I had no other problems. The facilities are excellent. Alots of parking available. "

"After driving through traffic for almost 4 hours, when we arrived an older man with a mobile phone told us we did not in fact have a booking, that the hotel did not in fact exist as a hotel - even though all signage was still up. The man asked me to speak with head office on his phone who confirmed no booking, regardless of my e-mail confirmations. We were not the only people affected by this, luckily for us we found alternative accommodation at a higher rate as we were attending the Take That concert locally. Absolutely disgusted with lack of communication & now to be asked for a review? Even Expedia it seems are unaware that this accommodation does not exists and still advertises it. Please Expedia, remove from your searches."

Unpleasant experience

"When I arrived there was no one to show me to my room. I phoned the number on my booking but they could not find any record of me having booked with the itinerary number I was given. They gave me another number to call, eventually they found the booking and said ‘the man is coming’. This turned out to be a maintenance man who was very unwell (flu I presume). He showed me a double room but the toilet was broken, a sign in the door saying do not use. I asked for an alternative room with a working toilet. He showed me to a single room but it had not been cleaned. Still had the last guests bedding and rubbish in the bin. I decided not to stay there so I found another hotel. I went through my booking on hotels.com to ask for a refund, but they said they couldn’t find my booking. Very frustrating!! The money has already left my account but I don’t think I can get it back. "

Not suitable for a holiday with 6 people

"When we arrived at the property, we we're very disappointed. We rented the property for our holiday with 6 people. But apart from 6 beds the property is not suitable for 6. The livingroom is small with two couches (so room for 4), there is a fridge that would be barely big enough for 2. There are hardly enough plates and cutlery for 6. The property is in a poor state of maintenance, bed linnen is stained, there weren't enough towels, etc... We contacted the property manager straight away with our complaints but apart from bringing some additional towels and chairs, could not help us very much. We were offert our money back, which we accepted. VBRO did have some suggestions for other properties in the area, but we found an alternative our selfs. All in al, we would not recommend this for a holiday."
