It was great to meet Phil and stay at his scenic retreat overlooking the lake. Such a beautiful spot to be in before (or after) going to Milford Sound. Phil is a wealth of information about the local and national scene.
Enchanting views of Lake Te Anau, combined with warm hospitality and great stories of local history by the owner, made this a favourite stay for us. Rooms are comfortable and breakfast provides a pleasant opportunity to talk with other guests. Don't forget to ask to feed Chubby, the resident sheep in the next door paddock.
The property is a located in an amazing area and the views from the property are breathtaking. Phil is an excellent host who not only will give you tips on the area, but is also keen to share his knowledge on the local way of living.
The property is convenient located, slightly out of town but on the road from Te Anau to Milford sound (you need a car).
Phil is very accommodating and makes you feel very welcome.
Amazing location with beautiful view of Te Anau Lake. Phil makes you feel like a house guest in his beautiful home. Taught us much about New Zealand farming and fishing and ecology. Be aware that when you arrive you have to keep going on the small unpaved road. The house you see close to the road is not Loch Vista Villa. You do need a car to stay at this property.
A wonderful place to stay, just outside of town does mean your have to drive in to eat or pickup items, however its only 5min and so worth it for this hidden gem, the view is breathtaking and the host is so helpful and friendly. We even got to meet the pet sheep.. we wanted to stay longer. All in all you can't go wrong with booking this place.
This is a gem of a place. It offers a spectacular view overlooking Lake Te Anu and clean well appointed rooms. The highlight however is the gracious hosting by its proprietor Paul who offers excellent local knowledge and recommendations for both food and activities. We’d stay again in a heartbeat.
Lovely views and a welcoming host at Loch Vista Lake View Villa Accommodation! A great spot to base from in Te Anau with easy access to Milford Sound and Manaporui. Loved the local tips we got from the host for hikes and restaurants!
What a great place to stay. We cant say enough about our host Phil. Lovely man who made us feel welcome and very comfortable. Would love to go back for another stay sometime. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommended.

Fantastic Views
Fantastic views of the lake, quiet location, on the road to Milford Sound. The host is a very personable man, lifelong resident of Te Anau.
Cozy B&B just a few minutes drive out of town. The owner is a wealth of knowledge about local things and if you ask nicely, he may let you feed his pet sheep!
Just 3 rooms for letting, plus the owner who lives at the property, who has much local knowledge and advice. A continental breakfast is provided. No cooking facilities so the nearest main meal provision is in Te Aneau about 5 kilometres distant. Views from the property are excellent.
