"We chose this house because of the location. It is quite remote, in a very small hamlet about 10km up narrow roads. Villaviciosa is a lovely small town and worth a walk around. The hamlet of Piedrafita is exactly that, a hamlet. We were hugely disappointed that the local bar/eatery had suffered a fire and was out of action for the foreseeable. That was a shame because it was only a couple of hundred meters away from our accommodation. The nearest place to eat is a 20 minute walk to the next...

"Linda and Andres were fantastic hosts. The property is a converted barn and well-equipped. It’s in beautiful valley, close to the Rio Sella where you can swim. The garden area is mainly above the house. We didn’t use the bbq because we had our own, as we’d been camping elsewhere. There are plenty of fruit and nut trees nearby and the locals seemed happy for us to take peaches, walnuts and apples! Recommended."
