We were overwhelmed by this stunning house. It was large, roomy, comfortable, extremely gentile, and was surrounded by beautiful property and views. This is one of those out of the way places that you would never find on your own. For me, staying in a classic manor house like this gave me the chance to live, for just a few days, the way I imagine British nobility live when they visit the countryside. It’s a wonderful place to stay If you just want to relax and take walks, and watch the mountain views outside change with the weather and the light. The house had a wonderful kitchen, 1 1/2 bathrooms, and a washer and dryer. The full bath and bedrooms are upstairs, so it is very much a house, and not just an apartment. My daughter enjoyed playing the piano, which was in good tune! And there are puzzles and games. If you come you should plan to stay several days just to take it all in. It is within a few minutes walk to the Bonawe Furnace historic site, which is an interesting visit. And there are nice beach walks nearby. My husband did some fishing, and while he didn’t catch anything, he enjoyed conversations with other fishermen on the pier. We’d love to come back again and spend more time exploring this area.
