"Ceu Azul" – meaning Blue Sky is exactly what you imagine! A bright, sunny villa with views you will never forget. Situated in Pinheiro, on the Ria Formosa Nature reserve, a rare, secluded and unspoilt spot in the Eastern Algarve. The nature reserve boasts many rare varieties of birdlife and here you will find them in your garden! Waking up to the sound of the sea and birds chirping in this special part of the Eastern Algarve, many of our guests do not wish to leave and return time and time again to "Ceu Azul". At the bottom of the garden a walkway and cycle route along the lagoon’s edge leads you west along the salt pans to Fuseta and East towards the stunning beach of Barril. Along the lagoons edge a short walk from Ceu Azul is a fabulous fish and seafood Restaurant, "Fialho", which is very family friendly and a joy to eat there at all times of the year… All of this right on your doorstep. It is a birdwatchers paradise and a family’s perfect holiday break, away from it all. From "Ceu Azul" you will be in easy reach of plenty of beaches and towns along the Eastern Algarve, All within a few minutes drive.
"Ceu Azul" is an elevated 2 bedroom Villa, facing south making the most of the stunning lagoon and sea views. Steps lead up to the breakfast balcony and Villa.The kitchen is fully equipped including cool boxes for day trips away, should you be tempted to explore whilst staying here. An archway leads you into the light and airy south facing lounge, overlooking the ever changing hues of the lagoon and far reaching sea view. A wood burner makes the cooler months cosy and as enjoyable as the warmer months of the year.
There is broadband WiFi Internet, a TV And DVD player (for watching films and Portuguese channels) and a CD player. At the rear of Ceu Azul you will find the shower room, double bedroom and twin bed room both air conditioned (heating in the cooler months). Both of which are light, colourful and cheerfully decorated.
The elevated balcony is superb for breakfast and has a very special view over the lagoon, sea and garden of Ceu Azul. The colourful garden attracts an amazing amount of local birdlife – previous guests have recorded up to 250 different species during a week’s stay. You may even be lucky enough to see the ‘resident’ cameleon who lives in the garden. There is a patio area, with sun loungers, table and chairs, parasol and the all important barbecue. A great area for soaking up the sun and enjoying barbecues or after dinner drinks and conversations, when you stroll back from the local restaurant. Pick fresh lemons off the tree, fabulous in gin and tonic or squeezed over your favourite fish suppers.
