"Great property - unfortunately our Tongariro Crossing was cancelled due to weather, but Sarah at Reception gave lots of great recommendations for other walks to do. Good location, walkable to a number of restaurants."

"We stayed at Lake Taupo Motor inn for 2 nights as a family of 4. We got lucky with the end room which had big windows and a nice view. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms nice and dark with curtains drawn. It was a nice quiet location although still super close and handy to shops, cafes and restaurants. The pool was too cold for my 4 year old however there was also a spa to warm up in. Great stay"

"Location is a little away from the town and lake but just a quick drive to get to and parking is ample all around town and the lake. Rooms were large, bed was comfy but the bathrooms felt a little dated. Seems like they refreshed a few things like the outdoor pool area which was excellent but maybe the rooms will get an upgrade sometime soon!"
