"A Truly Warm and Welcoming Stay! From the moment we arrived (even at 2am, thanks to Valerie waiting up for us!), we felt right at home. Valerie, Laurent, and Tom made us feel like part of the family. We had good chats about local life in Polynesia. The accommodation is clean, cozy, and spacious - perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. you’ll need a car since it’s up in the hills, but the drive is easy. Every morning, Valerie spoiled us with a delicious breakfast - fresh fruit, pastries, and eggs to start the day off right. Plus, her local tips were spot-on! As first-timers in French Polynesia, we really appreciated her advice not just for Tahiti, but for the other islands too. She even helped us arrange an unforgettable snorkel tour in Moorea with Captain Taina, where we swam with stingrays, reef sharks, and turtles. A highlight of our trip so far! We can’t recommend this place enough!"

"We loved the private beach. This was our daughter's favorite part of the trip. There are other people who have access to the beach as well as you are in a neighborhood of Arue but compared to the public beaches you have a piece of paradise all to yourself. We also enjoyed all the animal life (giant snails, crabs, birds and one day we even saw a sea otter swimming near us). The neighbors do have dogs (and there are a lot of dogs in Tahiti) but they did not bother us. The rental van was a must for us. It enables you to go to the local markets, grocery stores, restaurants, and visit the island. We only booked one tour on viator which was snorkeling (and technically you can do that in the private beach area), but we are not experienced and wanted a guide to take us into one of the lagoon areas around the island. Our primary purpose for booking a Vrbo over the resort was the private beach and having access to a rental vehicle that would allow us to explore independently. There are a lot of bugs (it is a tropical island), so bring bug spray and anti-itch cream. The hosts were very respectful of personal space and we only saw them a couple of times during our stay and for the pick up and drop off at the airport. We wanted to experience life as the Tahitians do and so that is what you will get with this beach house which is among the locals who are extremely gracious and friendly. "

"This property was clean and comfortable, in a quiet neighborhood just a short distance off the main road, close to public beaches. We arrived on the island early in the morning, and the hosts allowed us to check in early. They also gifted us a bottle of wine, knowing we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We used the bungalow mainly for sleeping and showering, as we were gone most of the day, but we did have breakfast in the mornings and snacks at night. The kitchen was fine for that.We would recommend this property to anyone with a car who wanted a base from which to explore the island."

"This is like a hillside garden paradise overlooking Teahupo’o and surrounding ocean. Staff is as accommodating as one can get. They are marvelous. The chef is a young man that cooks excellent meals. The bungalow was immaculately clean and one also feels living in nature. Like high quality glamping but perhaps better. The shampoo and shower gel is divine (Tiare)."

"Lovely new property just one house back from a very secluded beach. Amazing snorkeling and good surfing - if you are a strong swimmer comfortable in a constant long shore current and reef break. Only downside was they provided aluminum frypans that are not compatible with the inductive cooktop."

"Was a wonderful stay in a nice area. Everything was clean and kayak etc was available.I had just one point: I think the house is great for 4 persons because I’m not sure if there is enough “cool air” in the third bedroom. During my stay they could not repair/fix an A/C problem (I was there a week) in the first bedroom."

"Being on the third floor made for a nice view. Beautiful black sand beach. The waves are a bit big for our kids age 6-11, but they liked to play in the river that leads to the ocean. The floors had broken slats which sank when you stepped on them which would be our only complaint. And only 2 passes to the resort, so we never went since we are a family of 5. But it served as a great base for our adventure. "
