Steps or an elevator take you down to the sea, where you can swim between the rocks and caves and snorkel and enjoy looking at the fish. However, jellyfish sometimes prevent you from going into the water. In that case you can enjoy an outside semi-circular pool that is stuck to the rocks high above the sea. The patio is lovely and shaded with a few trees with a breathtaking view, also from the rooms on the upper floor. The apartment and kitchen is well-equipped with a washing machine on the inner-side room, opposite the corridor. The kitchen has all you need, but it would be nice if the host would leave a little of the basic needs, for example salt or dishwasher soap. We left a complete package for the next one to enjoy.
The beds and showers are comfortable and the apartment is basically clean but might need some small maintenance like fixing a dripping A/C on the inner room, stoppers for the wooden shutters that slam in the wind, fixing a few tiles on the patio, fixing fly screens, etc. But this in no way diminished from us having an amazing stay.
What is worth mentioning is that it is great to have your own parking spot. The Isolabella area is so narrow and stuck to the cliffs that you will not find a parking spot outside at all. We walked every morning along the narrow road to have a coffee or take the cable way to Taormina. This is quite a frightening experience: less than 1 meter shoulders, with buses and trucks pushing you to the side of the narrow road! But what the heck! this is Italy and just enjoy it if you are able to survive! Altogether we highly recommend this place!
