"We had a great time staying at Bjorn’s Chalet. Everything was so comfortable and the view of Mt Ruapehu from the living area upstairs was jaw dropping. Highly recommend, will definitely look to stay again next time we are here!"

"This was our first ‘extended’ family trip. Eight of us in total, 4 adults and 4 kids (ages 2, 6, 9, 15). The house and outside area was fantastic and fit for purpose. There was plenty of room so we didn’t feel on top of each other. Fantastically stocked kitchen, has every utensil and pot you’d need. Enough beds/bedrooms and bathrooms. Lovely big lounge area and the outside was a dream! Enjoyed the walk to the stream and the swing seat and see-saw kept the younger kids entertained. Lovely and...

"It's a good value cottage in a good location just a few minutes from National Park and close to Whakapapa. It could do with a good spring clean, but you can't argue the price. Previous guests could've done more to clean like empty the bins properly, but overall would recommend and the description was accurate! Thanks for having us."

"This was a great base for us to explore the mountain and enjoy the area. Well equipped, had everything we needed for our time away. We just had to be careful with our three young children with the steep stairs and also a gap between the roof and the wall upstairs."

"The chalet was the perfect stay for us to explore Tongoriro National Park. The park turnoff was 15 minutes away. The National Park town has numerous dining options with a number of places that have incredible outdoor views. The turn is small and walkable and very safe and quiet! The chalet was well equipped with comfortable beds and also has great views of the surrounding areas and the volcanoes along with Mt Doom from Lord of the Rings! Our hosts were communicative and answered our questions...

"What a wonderful place. Everything was lovely, new, clean and most of all warm. The drying room worked perfectly for our wet skiing gear. There was plenty of storage space for our stuff. Most importantly there was a powerful hot shower and the beds were super comfy. Almost forgot the immaculate and spacious hot tub. We had a great stay. Thanks Mark."

"Nice place to stay. Pretty close to the town centre and all the amenities. Well maintained place with good facilities.Easy stay for a family of 4.Kitchen was decently stocked up with essentials and had all the right utensils for a short stay. Wifi and heatpump was missing which would be kind of good to have. Will chose this place any day we come to visit Ruapehu. Thanks Richard"

"We stayed here for two nights, before and after our Tongariro Crossing trip. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Check in and communication was straightforward. The ear plugs left on the table came in handy as the property is located next to a fairly busy road and trucks transporting cars stop and do their driver change-over next to it. Also the carpet in the room could do with a refresh as it does not smell very nice."
