The property was actually through a VRBO host. There was zero communication with the host once I had checked in. The refrigerator was not working at all and the front door and patio door would not lock. I messaged the host for assistance but never received a response. Since the property was managed by a host, the front desk would not help me. I had to put something in the track of the patio door and wedge a chair between the wall and the door to feel safe. The property itself has a beautiful view, albeit the interior is run down, especially the bathroom (large cracks in the shower wall and rust stains down the wall). If the host would improve communication and make customer safety a priority it would be a great place to stay.

The room was perfect and as described. On Saturday night the property had the firepit lit up and the tiki torches lit, so it was lovely to sit on the beach chairs and enjoy the fire. The only issue we had, and I hate not giving it a 5, was a lack of communication by the host. The host did not communicate to security at the front gate prior to our arrival to let them know we would be checking in. When we got in the room, the AC was not working. The host got us in another room. The host, nor the person at the front desk communicated that we would have to check out of that room before leaving for Comic Con. We got a call in the morning from the hotel manager telling us to vacate the room. While in costume and full make up (we were about to walk out the door), we had to move everything back to the hosts' room. We were more than an hour later to Comic Con. Host advised AC would be fixed between 3-5pm. Host did not communicate it was fixed, so at 7pm, I messaged the host and she said it was fixed. The host did absolutely everything she could to resolve the issue we had, and we did stay in a comparable room that night. Communication would have made things a lot better and we could have planned our time more according to the hiccups. I would absolutely recommend this room and this host.
