As I was driving to the place, I got a phone call from them stating that due to renovations our reservation was cancelled. They could do nothing about it. Their manager was unavailable. They were rude on the phone. I was just coming from a funeral. I do not recommend this property David Ostfeld. So far no refund
First issue was that the room door was open when we went to the room the first time. Notified the front desk. They came to review the room and we assumed it was an accident by housekeeping as the door seemed to stick when shutting and needed to be fully pulled shut to fully close.
Then we found our room was extremely cold. The thermostat showed 66. I tried to adjust this and it set off the fire alarm. I turned down the thermostat and the alarm stopped. No one checked on us and the room smelled like gas. Went downstairs to front desk and asked for a new room but was told there were none. I asked to be moved to a new hotel b/c the room could not be slept in. Since the alarm did not alert anyone I did not feel comfortable that carbon monoxide may have been released. The front desk person then found another room for us to stay in. My daughter and I sat outside for 30 minute as we both had headaches from the smell and then we went to our new room and stayed awake for another 2 hrs to make sure we were feeling okay and not experiencing any counter effects. The rest of our stay was fine and what I typically experience when staying at a Hilton.
I didn’t like how they gave the wrong room. When I called the front desk to ask why I was give this room when I booked I king room not a double twin bed. The guy at the front desk told me since you booked through a third party you get what you get. Do me that is not how front desk is supposed to respond. The next I want do to ask why I was put in the wrong room they told me because i booked through a third party never had that problem before. Also they told me they put me in the that room because of they were full due to the hurricane. I also told them those are not queen beds those are twins the shower is not wrong right. Also the room only has half a roll of toilet paper. Along with construction they had going on this is one of the worst stay I had and I have stay heard multiple times.
Entire floor (carpet) in our room was damp with water like there was a leak of some sort. At least one portion was pretty saturated. All we received was a mere "sorry" from the front desk and that theyd look into it.
Even though the area experienced a hurricane and I longer had a need to travel there they refused to cancel my reservation. As a Hilton honors member I am extremely disappointed. Had I went through Hilton directly I think the result would have been different. I don’t think I will use Expedia for this type of booking again.

We attempted to check in and were turned away due to power issue.
Understand the storm/ would have been nice to receive any notification of issue prior to arrival.
This was one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. Front desk staff was a bit snarky, but the rest of the staff was lovely!! Walkable to restaurants and convenience stores.
Great experience, no complaints. Beds were super comfy and A/C worked great. Keyless check-in was a breeze and we also were able to link our Hilton honors account for rewards!
