Perfect getaway for the holiday
"Stayed a couple of days in Talkeetna for New Years. Everyone loved the cabin. My kids loved the loft area and playing outside on the property, especially doing s'mores with the firepit. The village of Talkeetna itself was cute. we had a good dinner while there and there was a band playing in the park. artsy area.

Talkeetna is a very different place seemingly centered solely around tourism with sky high prices. I am very disappointed that such a quaint little town would have such a high markup on everything.

The train station is fun, and if you check around you can see Danali from here. It is also just a hop up there. Fishing is impressive. The town is crazy crowded when the buses roll in, but it is very nice when they go away. Great place for souvenirs.
