"The rooms are fabulous but the property needs some update and a lick of external paint. The flush in the toilet needed fixing and the lights in one of the wardrobes got stuck.. I didn’t expect such a state of repair but the hotel team fixed everything quickly"

"We wanted a quiet few days away from the crowds. The hotel facilitates a shuttle to the busier parts of the island for a change of pace. Can't be any more complimentary if the staff. They were outstanding. "

"This is a wonderful boutique hotel set on a gorgeous sandy beach. The gardens and pool are beautiful. It’s a very quiet relaxing place with very friendly, helpful staff. There are two kayaks and a paddleboard available free of charge. There is a hotel spa that offers massages on the beach and also a massage place on the beach next to the hotel. The hotel restaurant is very good. For more choice, the Intercontinental Hotel is next door and there are a couple of restaurants just a short walk...

"This was a very quiet property with bungalows - we had a seaview bungalow. Very peaceful (June 2024). The staff prepared a lovely breakfast, and the restaurant was also good with a huge range of options. The staff were responsive to any problems or plans. The main disadvantage is that on this part of the west coast of the island, the sea is very shallow so we could not swim - other than in the pool. When the tide is out, there is an expansive sandy beach though. We enjoyed our stay. "

"We stayed here for 7 nights and you get what you pay for. Its a nice and good location , really off from the city but they will offer you a moped for rent when you get there and that will really take you to better spots on the island. We did not spend that much time in the bungalow but the standard is perfect for backpacking and they offer a good breakfast. /marcus"

"המקום מהמם אבל!! ההגעה אליו מתישה ממש צריך לקחת מונית ממרכז קוסמוי לקצה העיר(רק משם אפשר לקחת את הסירה למלון) בעלות 700 באט משם לוקחים סירה של המלון בעלות נוספת של 200 באט לבן אדם. האוכל במלון יקר נורא ואין שום אופציה לסעודה אחרת! הם לא מפנקים בכלל, היינו לבד!! במלון רק אני ובעלי ואפילו לא רצו לשדרג אותנו. "We had a wonderful stay at Sibaja Palms. The accomodations are top notch, high quality and very comfortable. It's right on the beachfront, so swimming is right there. It's a quiet part of the island which is exactly what we wanted. Around the corner there is motorbike rental but get there early because it's a small operation. There is a wonderful croissant bakery right nearby and not to be missed!"

"This was a great experience to have a holiday in a private villa with your own pool overlooking the beach. The villa's are starting to become a bit run down and need some updating, however they are kept very clean and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was a lot of rubbish on the beach, making it hard to enjoy with the kids, but this seems to be a problem throughout the island. "We have had amazing time while staying at The Hive in Lamai Beach. Could the rooms (especially the bathroom) do with a refresh? Probably, but the beautiful staff and wonderful location. The staff, from reception, to restaurant, to housekeeping and grounds could not be more welcoming or friendly. I look forward to returning sometime"

A little bit of luxury

"This whole stay was beautiful - the staff were amazing, attentive, kind, interactive with our children and nothing was too much trouble. The grounds and the views were fabulous. The room was spacious and well equipped we had a room which included a bathtub overlooking the ocean which was a perfect addition to our stay. They even provide a beach bag for you to use as you stay with them. We were bed and breakfast and the breakfast was amazing - loads of choice and really fresh - they made you fresh smoothies, made to order egg stations, fresh coconuts, anything you could think of they had it! I was sad to leave! Thank you for a perfect stay."
