"The Riad is located a short walk up the hill from the main square where cars and taxis drop you off. It’s in the middle of the historic zone of Chefchaouen, a few minutes walk from the famous blue streets. The rooms are lovely with tasteful and traditional decor."

"This place is very basic but has everything you need. It is located in the heart of the beautiful old town. Really easy to get to restaurants and to sightsee. It's a bit noisy during the day with activities and tourists but very quest at night. I loved waking up in the center of the blue city! The manager and staff were super friendly. Really loved it. "

"Loved this hotel! It was very unique and different. Booked two separate rooms and one of the rooms would not have been good for anyone with any type of accessibility issues as there is a high step to the bathroom and the bed area. We had no issues. The stairs to the rooms are a little steep as well. Service was great and the hotel had their own restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel staff assisted with our luggage as well which was very helpful. "

"We traveled through 6 cities in Morocco and the Taj was our favorite hotel, which frankly made the experience at Chefchaouen, a low economic village. It’s a stunning hotel and nothing short of a 5 star rating as far as aesthetics and architecture goes. It’s clean and our junior suite offered stunning views where we had breakfast, dinner, and tea throughout the day. The parking lot makes it accessible to head up and down to town without climbing the stairs, although that only took 15-20 minutes. •The amenities: some under construction still as it’s a new hotel. We did hang at the pool one of the days and it’s unusable. It’s not heated, but the cold tiles keep it freezing cold. It’s more of a cold plunge. •The staff: helpful, though some from the dining restaurant are unfriendly. If this is a consideration to you - please note that the Taj is not a part of ethical traveling. You’re staying in a low economic village where people struggle to earn $1 USD, while paying $200+ per night for the hotel. We heavily felt the discrepancy in expense VS town’s economy and it made us quite sad. "

"We loved our stay at Riad Alhambra!! The room was beautiful with a comfortable bed and very nice small balcony. The terrace offered a quiet and very gorgeous view of Chefchaouen. We enjoyed a delightful lunch and a delicious breakfast. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. It was in an excellent location for enjoying the old city. Would highly recommend and I hope I can visit again!"

"We had 1 night at Iguana Azul. Even before our arrival we were welcomed to iguana Azul and advised of activities they could help arrange. Walid went out of his way to make our stay smooth and comfortable. He and Jabeer were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. Location is very central yet quiet. "

"We stayed here out of season, early April Firstly the staff, as always in Morocco are so friendly and go out of their way to help you with anything. The location of the apartments are idyllic, the scenery of the mountains and neighbouring Chefchaouen is stunning. However we were not entirely happy with our stay as we were given a room with no working air con, when we asked for some heaters we were given 1 broken one. It was extremely cold in the night. We were offered to move to another room the next day but as we were only staying 1 more night it seemed pointless moving all our bags. The breakfast buffet was ok but not much hot food options and some things were cold. We purchased 2 bottles of chocolate milk for the kids and couldnt believe when they charged us almost £5, when we questioned why so much they said because they have to bring it from far. Its 15 mins to Chefchaouen town. It seems they are a 3* accommodation trying to charge 5* prices which when out of season and no other facilities available is quite bad. "
