"Nice hotel but dated. Could do with refreshing to bring Upto modern day standard. Bit more expensive than would expected and definitely didn't like the restaurant food standard wasn't good. Even under cooked chips and that's a something simple to cook."

"We arrived as a last minute stay for a sunrise hike for Pen Y Fan on a winters night. The hotel is a 5 min drive from the national trust car park from where everyone ascends so a perfect location for anyone exploring the Brecons. As with some of the other comments, the hotel was dated and in need of a refresh. The pool facilities were fine, though the hot tub wasn’t bubbling, or overly warm on our stay. "The room was just as shown on the photos. I had seen some negative reviews so had some apprehension, but there were no problems on our visit. Comfortable beds, hot water, good heating, reasonable carpet; 24/7 Asda shop and other facilities at the service station. No fridge or cooking facilities, but I took a microwave and had no problems.
