Great location & Facilities
We had a lovely 2 night stay at Krathom KhaoLak Resort. The hotel was very conveniently located close to the main road through Khao Lak but tucked back from the main street. There was no street noise at all. The room was clean and had air conditioning, a fan and a fairly private balcony out the front. The hotel is located about 150m from the bus stop servicing the Phuket Town - Takua Pa - Surat Thani route. It is 150 THB from Khao Sok to Khao Lak per person on fully air conditioned bus. Unfortunately the timetable cannot be relied on other than knowing there will be a bus eventually. There are many restaurants close by. All the ones we tried had beautiful reasonably priced Thai food.

Ok place
We ended up here when our usual resort turned out full. The place meets expectations. Our bungalow was rather small and there was no storage space/wardrobe at all. The safe is very small, mini-bar normal size. The included breakfast selection is very basic but speed of service is good and food is ok. Wi-Fi service is a bit sketchy, but where isn't it in Thailand? :) Not possible to get 2 keys to the room. Beds are standard Thai-hard and made with only one sheet (bortom) and a blanket. I have never come across this way to make a bed anywhere else in the world, peculiar. A/C and fan worked fine. No DND/MUR sign. 3% surcharge on credit card payments. Overall ok value and we may return.

Opholdet var kun 2 nætter og det var billigt, men det var faktisk skuffende i forhold til de billeder der var lagt op, det var meget slidt og med både myrer og salamander på værelset. Poolen havde vi ikke lyst til at hoppe i da det så ud som om der var skind på. Morgenmaden var ok, måske lige bortset fra snegleæg på ananassen... Til gengæld var personalet meget søde og hjælpsomme.

Sehr nettes Personal, ruhige Lage, schöner Garten. Schimmel im Badezimmer, Pool könnte öfter gereinigt werden,zu wenige Liegen am Pool die meisten sind kaputt. Die Anlage ist in die Jahre gekommen!!

Wir haben in Krathom Khao Lak Resort 17 Tage verbracht. Die familier geführte Bungalow Anlage ist bestens plaziert, zu der Hauptstraße geht man 60 - 100 Meter abhängig von der Hauslage. Andere Entfernungen wie folgt: Nang Thong Beach ca. 600 Meter, der seven-eleven Laden etwa 120 Meter, das Restaurant Gold Elephant (wahrscheinlich das beste am Ort) ca. 1,5 Kilometer. Weitere unzählige Restaurants und Shops in unmittelbarer Nähe. Unser Haus war 30 Quadratmeter groß und lag in der Villa-Reihe links vom Resorteingang. Ausgestattet mit einer größen, schönen Terrasse, einem sehr guten Bett, ausreichend möbliert eignet sich sogar für einen längeren Aufenthalt. Das Frühstück frei kombinierbar aus einer Menükarte war gut und mengemäßig nicht limitiert. Die Anlage verfügt über einen kleinen Swimingpool mit einigen qualitativ sehr guten Sonnenliegen. Während unseres Aufenthalts haben wir bei einem Tourbüro einen zweitägigen Ausflug nach Surin Islands gebucht (sehr empfehlenswert). Aus uns einem unbekannten Grund waren wir leider nicht in der vorgegebener Zeit abgeholt. Das Hotelpersonal hat sich sehr engagiert um die Lage zu klären. Es war sehr hilfreich. Schön Dank dafür.

部屋が臭い。トイレタンクのレバー、洗面所の水道の蛇口かぐらぐらする。入口のドアと壁に隙間があり、虫が入ってくる。 通りの賑やかさから考えると、部屋は静かでのんびりできる。 でも、もう泊まらない。

Cheap and clean bungalow
Clean cheap bungalow in quiet area of town. Nothing fancy, but the swimming pool was nice and staff friendly. Bed was hard as they always are in Thailand and Khaolak is not very interesting. But if you just want to relax and have a cheap bed, I'd recommend this place.

Tres bien situe, central, a proximite des restos,
Nous avons sejourne et khao lak pendant dix jours et sillone autour pour de multiples excursions. Hotel idealement place, jardin agreable et personnel sympathique et serviable. Petit dejeuner complet et tres apprecie. Chambre au confort basique mais calme et pratique. Piscine au top.
