"A upmarket lodge that was recently refurbished. Our room number 10 was large and tastefully furnished with a large modern bathroom and good amenities. The breakfast and dinner served at the restaurant was high quality. All the staff we encountered were polite and friendly."

"The on-property host and manager, Valery, made the stay phenomenal; he is also a professional chef and will cook you breakfast and dinner each day using fresh and local ingredients. The property has direct access to a very private beach and offers 2 kayaks and a paddle board for you to use when desired. "It was an absolutely perfect 6-day holiday. In no way could it have been improved. Our personal chef was superb, very friendly and hospitable and produced fine-dining breakfasts and dinners. The location was brilliant, nestled between trees down via the private access footpath to the beach. Kayaks and a paddle board was available during our stay. In summary, we felt you could not better our holiday. Thank you so much Valeriy!"

"Rustic style cottage, nestled in the forest far away from anything. We loved the private tracks and the kids loved running around the beautiful forest. A long drive in, so do your shopping before you go! So clean, and loved cooking on the coal range."

"There were beautiful views from every part of the property. The grounds were quite extensive with tracks that were fun to walk to see the native trees. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Units were well kept, clean and well appointed."

We originally planned to stay for two nights and because of the.Bonhomie of the place we stayed a total of six days and five nights. We would have stayed all the way to the end of our trip. "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house was perfect and the kayaks/ paddle board were an added bonus. Location was perfect. Wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend!!"

"This was the most amazing place we've stayed in so far in NZ, and one of my favorites in the world. The place was so very clean, had all the nice touches and everything (and more) that we needed. I was sad we were only staying one night. Leanne, the owner, spent alot of time answering all my questions and gave us the perfect plan for the short amount of time we had there. We would have missed Pu Pu Springs if it wasn't for her!! Not to miss! Very nicely located close to the town center. Lots to do here. The garden outside our room was spectacular, and so very private. The room had so many nice little touches. If we ever come back to NZ, we will plan many more nights at The Rocks Chalet. BEST place we've stayed in NZ so far. Thanks Leanne and Lloyd!"
