"The bath tab in the room looks old.The bed mattress was kind of hard for me to sleep on. The pillows were too soft for me. The sauna facility was closed for maintenance so it was too bad that I couldn't use the facility."

beautiful restored old house
"the place is restored 1931 house. a lot of care went into getting it fixed to the original "Japanese era" style. It's pretty much the same as the pictures. However, at the check in, we ran into a major snags. The listing shows 2 rooms/2 baths, but the proprietor only gave me ONE room of the 2 room ..."

Taichung is a very chill city. People enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities like dining, drinking and hanging out in the park etc. Many interesting restaurants and bars built in modified old houses that give the neighborhood a retro yet modern vibe.
